Also, it's so true what you said..... "The only true way to master Photoshop is understanding those core concepts of Photoshop. Once you get those, you will be able to create your own steps and Photoshop becomes a breeze." Because I've stuck with your teaching, I have entered that realm. Doesn't mean I stop learning. Learning continues until the last breath and that's the beauty and wonder of it. Thank you Unmesh!

Really appreciate the overview of new features. I agree there's nothing surprising or any major updates. And I so wish they listened to you and did better hair selection functionality - it's still very tedious task, especially if you have to deal with pet photos on a daily basis like I do. Color matching would also be great, here AI could actually help, I'm surprised Adobe still didn't release any tools to help with that.
@Dan-yy7lkАй бұрын
They did, Neutral Filters/Harmonization. Thats been there a while, not amazing, and im sure AI can help further, but i find this a great starting point for color matching composites, before i grade further.

First, thank you Unmesh for another great video ! Question: generative credits. How do these get used up? For example, if we have the remove tool set to Auto, and deselect the option of "remove after each stroke", then brush out several items that end up using AI, does this just this count as 1 generative credit or multiple? And when you have a complex scene like wires, where Adobe may automatically use several areas of GAI, but it's performed in one operation, how many credits... one or multiple? On Adobe's website (you have to look around a bit to find it) they list how many generative credits each account type gets per month, my particular account gets 250. By the way, a month is defined according to the date you started your subscription. To see how many generative credits you have & have remaining, go to the creative cloud desktop, click your profile "pic" in the upper right corner, and it tells you.
@DanteJDMАй бұрын
Adobe's FAQ page has the complete breakdown of generative credits. It's the first result if you Google "adobe generative credits" and will explain it a lot better than anyone here in the comments. But essentially you don't need to worry about it really unless you generate huge amounts every day or month.

Important info for people that have 0 knowhow with 3D. The materials and whatnot will only ever work with the 3D objects if the object is made well in 3D, having "material IDs" or a separate mesh for specific parts, for instance the wheels, body, seats, etc. If it has only 1 ID and its just 1 mesh together, you would only ever change the material of the whole vehicle.

@FotomakerAcademyАй бұрын
I'm not Unmesh, but either commercial product photographers or Ps compositors (like myself) could benefit from more dimensional looking image objects and being able to rotate 3D elements for different comps. And, from a different creative perspective, being able to apply different materials & reflectivity, texture, etc to the 3D models would also be cool

I remember when enlarging a small image, the argument was that Photoshop can't create pixels that aren't there. But now it can, so if Generative AI is good for anything, and I am not convinced yet that it is, it would be improving enlargements, sharpening, and selections. I really don't need it to create octopuses doing yoga on a mountain.

Thanks for digging into the latest version and bringing these features to our attention, precise and concise as usual :) in my work in PS and LrC I try to avoid Gen AI as much as I can. Results are quite often unusable, slow, just a nuisance. Now incorporating AI into more functions makes sense, as Adobe wants people to use AI more and sell more credits to being able to use AI. Improving other functions does not generate an easy, measurable additional revenue, so why pushing that...

Informative as usual, but you definitely made me laugh with some of your remarks! "It will still look bad...but sharper." lol I really wish they would update the Mixer Brush. I don't think they've touched that in 20 years. It needs to work more like a "wet" brush. Or, just add the capabilities to make a wet brush. And, real pigment mixing would be nice, too.
