Yes. When you paste and transform the logo onto sand, reduce its "Fill" to 0% (Fill is below "Opacity"). Then, apply the same Layer Styles to it.

I have no idea what I'm doing wrong, but in the original text layer, and at the point where you click "COLOR OVERLAY", the text changes colour - mine doesn't. It stays black?

It could be due to a number of factors all of which are human error. For example, is the Blend mode Normal in the Layers panel as well as in the :ayer Style window. Is the correct layer active. One would have to inspect your document to find the source of the error.

After you make the text thinner (4:12), and place it onto its own layer (4:27), you can convert it into a Smart Object which will allow you to replace the text without having to redo most of the effects.

8:56 in layer mask thumbnail, the ground (sand) is black and the water is white. So my text is only visible in the water and not in the sand 🥲 Plz someone help!! What should I do? Do I have to select water again?

Invert the layer mask by making it active and pressing Ctrl (or Cmd) + i.
