it's been very helpful. Short yet not without detail. Thanks. I thinks the only thing you need to mention at the end is that layers must be merged before saving.

Thanks for the nice comment, to be honest with you I can imagine it's from viewers that tried to change white colours, the colour effect normally doesn't apply to white and black but it's still possible to do. Anyway thanks again for stopping by and checking out the video

This is very helpful - THANKS! For the very first time, I have heard someone (YOU in this case) say "hue does not affect blacks." What?! I REALLY did not know that and it has driven me crazy for a very long time. In fact, now (because of your statement here) the Hue setting in the very frustrating "Color Replacement Brush" makes a more sense to me. I have been struggling with that cursed tool for literally years, trying to replace a bright yellow/tan Winter lawn for example with a natural green -- it NEVER works, because I get a bright TEAL. Grrrrr! I hope you decide to give the color replacement brush a go on something fairly complex on your channel sometime. Thanks again, Sir. Subscribed!
@VerticDesigns5 жыл бұрын
I'll give it a try and see what its like i might of used it before
@AerialLensVideo5 жыл бұрын
@@VerticDesigns Thank you SO MUCH for taking a look. The puzzling thing is that the color chosen in the swatch will not be nearly the same in either hue or brightness when you apply it to your image. What I end up doing (call me stubborn, since I know the excellent selection method you present in the above video works) is to (1) use the replacement brush, (2) go to filters>camera raw, then choose the little color icon, (3) adjust the hue, saturation, and lightness of the chosen color. I KNOW that changes everything of that color in the entire image, so must be careful. Ha - I know that completely defeats the purpose of doing things quickly and accurately, but I am determined to eventually learn how this cursed tool works in ONE QUICK STEP if that is even possible. There are a couple of YT instructions regarding this tool, BUT they tend to use very simple objects such as fruit, not more complex things like the bright and shadow lawns I mentioned. Thanks again - and Good Luck to you on this.

Excellent Tutorial, my out come wasn't as smooth and still trying to figure it out. After creating the color layer and clicking hue mine doesn't transform with the lined detail as his did, just the one solid color but I'll keep trying. The training was very straight forward and easy to understand so definitely something I'm doing wrong on my side. My CS6 is a bit different than his as well so maybe something there? Either way, I subscribed for more! Keep up the great work.

You should have it, bucket tool has been around since Photoshop was created so try right clicking on the gradient tool it's in the same group as bucket tool. If not the click on the 3 dots at the bottom of the tool bar and edit the tools in there
