I'm just starting to draw semi realism. And it's taking me a total of 12 hours. I haven't finished it yet. The magic of Photoshop can do wonders, if you want to learn how to draw without any limits. Fuck paint tool sai. Get photoshop.

How much would you say your drawing has improved over the years, or perhaps not necessarily improved but changed? I just started out and am wondering what a year's worth of drawing amounts to in terms of progress as an artist :)

@@Rhyff I cant say i remember where i was at about a year ago but i can tell you i have improved alot since then. Right now i am studying anatomy since i want to do characters yet there is so much more still to learn. I have to say that on average i put in about 7 hours a day into studying art so the more time you put in the faster you improve. Best advice i can give you is to just keep going and really check yourself if you are improving or not. If you are not youre doing something wrong and you need to course correct. When starting out find that one thing you always wanted to be able to draw and work towards it. Research what you need to get there and study it untill you are blue. Improvement is inevitable then. create a path towards what you love, and nothing will seem like a chore to you. That being said, you should start with the fundamentals. You cant get around them. Thats where the circles ovals and teacups where a high priority. But very, very usefull later on. If you are looking for a starting point , i would check out Brent Eviston on Udemy or Skillshare, or if you want a free fundamentals course, google draw a box. Its all good stuff to start with. Thank you ... I love you comic ghostblade... and this is such a nice techniqur to give colour to a character.. I often messed up the skin tone in the process of selecting right colours gor dark and light areas... but this technique you use is super great... i just tried it.. and now there is no need to select colours.. just shade the wjole rhing with different shades of grey and then add the major colour you want with a soft brush with low opacity.. aahhhhh Thank youuuuuu..!!! I am currently trying to make a comic of a novel It is "The Unfading" by velnar... and.. I have the permission to draw it.. and I am gonna start working on it... so I thought to watch the work of my favourite artists.. and here I am.. lol..!! Thanks..!!
