watching WLOP paint a face is so theraputic, they manage to give a piece of artwork a feel of liveliness and make it feel like it has a story

If you didn't know there was a story and felt it only with this video, this work proved to be a really successful masterpiece.

The color and lighting in this one is like the visual equivalent of a rich orchestral piece with all the notes of the instruments working in harmony and balance. It’s absolutely beautiful.

How are you even able to put that much of depth in your art? Im speechless.

I've watched many of wlop videos here on KZbin and in terms of the hair this one is just so Perfectly drawn that I can't even imagine to replicate it even as an artist myself. Great Work !

Whenever I feel like I can’t draw I come back to your page and watch all of your speedpaintings with the remainder that I still need to practice to archive your level unfortunately I give up to fast sometimes I start to wonder why can’t I still draw well after almost 3 years of practice :(
@VIII-SANANDACHAKRABORTY2 жыл бұрын
I'm not such good at drawing either, but I believe that WLOP didn't achieve this stage in just a day, there are years of practice and experiments hidden behind each of the pieces, time is still there, don't worry lol, good things need time
@twisvis55312 жыл бұрын
As someone who's studied art for ten years, it's a mood. I can tell you WLOP didn't achieve this stage in even a couple of years. I advise Sinix for help in mastering painting and look into people who break down WLOP's style. It definitely helps.
@briseis85282 жыл бұрын
While I understand not everyone are able, or want, to sub to Patreon, if there are specific aspects of Wlop's style that you want to understand or try to implement in your own art, I really recommend subbing to his patreon for a month or two, or check out his tutorials on Gumroad. For Patreon, specifically the tiers that gives you full normal painting speed process videos (things like brushes is also a reward for subbing), to see precisely how he does things. While I definitely agree with TwisVis that looking into youtubers that try to break down Wlop's artstyle can be really helpful, you're really better off going to the source if you're able. Atleast for me, seeing/analysing process videos in normal time, being able to use the same tools, and being told the logic behind what you're doing and why (as in, why Wlop does what he does, when he does it) has helped tremendously in my own art.
@strawberrymilkshake1122 жыл бұрын
perfect practice makes progress :) Plus you need to be consistent and make sure you take breaks, so you don't get burned out. Most importantly, have fun. You ain't gonna have the motivation to practice if you don't have fun. Never give up!

I love how the early sketches look so abstract and almost "beginner looking". I'd say thats a good thing, shows hes really not a "drawer" but a "painter" and it really shows when he starts painting
@apuspeak87642 жыл бұрын
It's thumbnail painting. Just to put things around and planning the composition. That's all.
@Tiffany-bs2gc Жыл бұрын
You sketch in the beginning to lay out the basics and put your vision onto paper so that you can continue. A sketch for that purpose isn’t supposed be detailed. Just like you wouldn’t build a house without a foundation. The final house will be detailed, not the foundation. He can 100% be a “Drawer” and draw a detailed sketch, but that was not his goal, as you can see in his finished piece.

Skin is what I struggle with most. Whenever I use a soft edge brush for the massive organ, it ends up looking gummy and ugly. Love the way he does his overall pieces, but I really like how well he paints skin.

I’m one year late to this comment but I just wanted to let you know that it’s going to get easier if you keep going on with your practice. You should rewatch the process videos and keep trying. I was just like you. Three months ago I couldn’t even make the skin look skin-like but now it’s a lot easier. Hope this helps!
