Such a useful trick! It helps tons if you're looking into blowing up a moderate size picture for your wall. The end result is so much more polished and visually pleasing when you get up-close.

One of my big disappointments in Photoshop is not actually getting Benday dots when doing a halftone conversion. They are always pixelated spots, not truly circular. I wonder if that is possible in Illustrator.

If you don't desaturate the Image first but leave it in CMYK or RGB it should keep colors.

Hey Justin. How do you get the effect of a halftone using concentric circles, please? I used to know how to do it years ago in Photoshop, but now can't figure it out. In the dialogue box dropdown, you don't get an option for circular lines...I can't remember how I did it.
