Love your content. By far the most relevant content for my daily work life. The style of teaching is clear and easy to understand and apply. I appreciate you so much for how much new content you create. The only thing worth mentioning that I think you missed in this video is the contact shadows discussion. It's important to note when adding fake shadows that you match the direction and intensity of the original photos real shadows. I know you have mentioned that in other videos, but just felt it worth it to add here for this tutorial as well.

Very nice implementation. Reminds me of a LivePicture app box cover done in the early nineties. At that time it was a staggering achievement, today it's just another part of Photoshop's ability to implement a designer's wishes. Thanks for this.

another excellent tutorial. I have undoubtedly watched you vector mask tutorial before, but a quick question if you dont mind. When I use the curvature tol to create a path, I always convert it to a selection and then do add as a layer. Is there an advantage to using the vector mask? If it is covered in you tutorial, please say so and I will rewatch it and shut up!
@PhotoshopTrainingChannel4 жыл бұрын
Yeah. The Advantage is that you can edit it if need bed without having to recreate it. Obviously, you can use the painting tools with a layer mask but they will not give you the same smoothness or sharpness. Also scaling the layer will maintain a sharp edge.
@FredBarrington4 жыл бұрын
@@PhotoshopTrainingChannel Thanks for your reply. I appreciate all of your tutorials, even the 3D ones which have no obvious use for me. The issue I have is that when I want to use one of your techniques I have completely forgotten how you have done it. This is my problem not yours!

This is a interesting double exposure composition but I recently discovered a similar, albeit more sinister image used for the movie poster "Jack Goes Home". Haven't seen the movie but the poster is a darker, scarier hands over face. Check it out.

I dont know what I'm doing wrong, I create the vector mask for the hands and face but as soon as I drag the hands into the face container it brings the whole picture back not just the hands and cuts finger shapes out of the face. Hi Jesús - great tutorial! One idea for a future Copycat Wednesday might be to recreate the poster for the 2007 movie "Premonition", where Sandra Bullock's face is sort of made out of the negative space between the trees: www.impawards.com/2007/premonition_xlg.html I've always wondered how they did that.
