You'll hardly believe this, but a golden retriever chased my miniature schnauzer, knocked her to the ground, and held her down by her neck with its owner frantically screaming at it. It looked like an old dog, and maybe it was unwell and in a bit of pain, but I have never before, in my 74 years on this planet, seen a grumpy golden retriever. On that same day a huge chocolate lab came running towards me. I thought it was saying hello and I leaned forward to give it a fuss, but it ran into me with enough force to knock me flat on my back! The lab was just being a bit scatty and its nice young lady owner helped me up with no harm done. So that was an eventful half hour at the dog park.

I have been moving further away from photoshop lately stable diffusion has got really good. Inpaint and controlnet is on a whole new level and the freedoms of making own models and loras is crazy. Can get 90% of the result for 2% of the effort. Example face swap.. reactor plugin in a1111 slap the photo in img2img and face in reactor hit generate and it’s done. Totally flawless also. Different background no issue prompt for it or just use control net and a prompt swap it from one of your other photos or generate no issues. It even has a plug-in for photoshop! You can change the pose of people everything now. It’s not going to do everything yet but man is it impressive if you want to do allot of things.

Agreed, this was a nice, concise presentation of the information. But it was just a little bit fast. When showing a new effect, it would be nice to have two or maybe 3 seconds to go, "*WHOAHH! That's COOL!", before moving on to the next one, just my opinion.

I purposely bought Elements because I do not want to pay a monthly subscription. I have to say, I was a bit disappointed with the generative expand in the crop tool. I had a 1024 x 1024px image and expanded the background to half that size on either side. Admittedly the actual look was great and matched, but the pixel quality was at least half the quality of the original. There is an obvious line if you zoom in to where the fill took place. Not sure if this will improve any over the next updates, but I have also noticed this on Firefly when rendering out. If you look at MidJourney expand it is spotless and without fault. Here's hoping for some improvements!

I just found out that the removal of an object is recorded as being done by generative tools. In other words, a photo with minor changes is seen as if it were completely created by artificial intelligence. At this point, it is advisable to use other software to prevent a real photo from being mistaken for an imaginary creation

If the metadata is bundled in the file you can just use another tool to remove it, no need to give up photoshop for this

Personally, I think that's a good thing. Misinformation doesn't only happen when things that weren't there are added; it can also happen when things are taken away. Besides, if you keep the edit history in the metadata, I would assume it will show that you used the remove tool and not that you generated something from scratch.

@@paologarofalo3946 Because most users are not tech savvy and will not remove it/might not be even aware it's added (as other photo editing software might implementi it as well), or will simply not care to remove it. It's the similar thing as to why KZbin took so long to crack down on adblockers, most users didn't use them so it was not worth the effort. The audit log is a good idea on paper, but there is a huge potential for misuse, either people could forge the validity of an image, or it could be used to discredit legitimate images, because they might not have it attached. So I personally am heavily against people using it, using it to "fight" misinformation is just a clever excuse.

Alarmed at the proposal to charge for AI Generative Fill, on top of the existing subscription rates - I have probably used nearly 1000 since it has been launched, and potentially easily several hundred per shoot edit It is magic, but at the same time we expect progress from Adobe and innovations have slowed in recent times. This boost was needed to raise Adobe back to a leading proponent

Thanks Jesus a great video and walkthrough of this years new features. One thing though, with Generative Expand does that produce low resolution result like Generative Fill, because to my mind that will make your images un-usable other than for sharing on social media, certainly not printing.

Generative expand and fill is great, but Adobe needs to relax with the censorship. It's ok to have it there if they feel they need to protect us from something, even though I pay $60 per month... but the criteria for what constitutes "forbidden" imagery is too stringent.
