So the simple creatures aren’t that simple! I see intelligent design everywhere

How can bacteria invent anything? Are they intelligent?

To me, evolution is a form of invention. Evolution obviously doesn't require intelligence the way we usually associated it with humans. However, evolution does solve biological "problems" through small changes that help the organisms live and propagate.

@@sumnerd Evolution is a form of invention? Does it have magical properties? In order for bacteria to create a photosynthetic system it would require millions of nucleotides in a highly specific order to create such a system for natural selection to work with. Out of all the possible nucleotide variations why and how does a bacteria decide to make a photosynthetic system?

@@rikmid We are trying to figure that out: www.nature.com/articles/s41396-020-0668-5

@@sumnerd nice article! However because we can date cyanobacteria to 3.7 billion years soon after the late heavy bombardment where the Earth was pummeled with meteorites. It would seem that the article is studying bacteria that is substantially younger then cyanobacteria. So the bacteria studied merely represent broken genes and genetic entropy of the cyanobacteria.
