In This PHP and JavaScript tutorial we will see how to create a dynamic bar chart that visualizes product sales and revenue data.
We will retrieve product data from a database, convert it to JSON format, and then use Chart.js to render the data as a bar chart on an HTML page.
What We Will Use To Build This Project ? :
- PHP Programming Language.
- JavaScript Programming Language.
- HTML & CSS.
- Chart.js.
- VSCode Editor.
- MySQL Database.
- PhpMyAdmin.
What We Will Do In This PHP Project:
- Create a database connection using db_connect.php.
- Execute an SQL query to select all records from database table.
- Fetch the results of the SQL query and store them in a PHP array.
- Convert the PHP array to JSON format and store it in a variable.
- Retrieve the JSON-encoded product data from the PHP section and assign it to a JavaScript variable.
- Initialize empty arrays to store labels, revenue data, and sales data.
- Loop through the product data, extracting relevant information (product name, revenue, and sales), and populate the arrays.
- Use Chart.js to create a bar chart that displays product revenue and sales as two separate datasets.
