Blow up has two other meanings: 1) to make a photograph bigger. There is a film directed by Michelangelo Antonioni in 1966 called "Blow-up". A photographer blows up his prints and realizes that he's accidentally taken picture of a murdered person. It's a mystery film. 2) To blow up at somebody: to get angry with somebody. e.g. I'm sorry that I blew up at him in front of all these people.
