The 1.1 released 1 month ago and I just came to finishing Elden Ring DLC at that time. Since most of the Elden Ring VAs have British Accent this pleasantly surprised me upon hearing her English VA being British also. I usually play on JP Voice but when I heard this English VA of Phrolova it made her look even more menacing and sound menacing, great job Kuro Games.

It's Russian to be more specific. And it's a second name, because all Russian surnames end with -ov (-ova if female) (Petrov(a), Smirnov(a), Ivanov(a), Krasnov(a), etc. etc.)

I would be inclined to believe that this is an accent from certain regions in the game but the fact that so many characters from Jinzhou also have thick accents hurts the immersion a lot, whoever is in charge needs to pay close attention to this. I'm not even against it but it's so peppered around that it takes you by surprise, the voice acting needs more cohesion.

Its English voices. They're closer to Britain for voice acting. There's gonna be people with different accents all over the map. Its probably in the other languages too but most people probably won't notice since they're in different languages.

@@Beeeeeewwwww Can't say anything about Korean but so far the CN and JP are consistent so nope no regional dialects or accents in sight. Jué talks like it's reading poetry in Chinese but that's a different thing. No matter the amount of excuses you or anyone comes up with, the lack of consistency is bad for the inmersion, if the VA can't do a neutral accent then maybe the Va isn't a good one, but there's no reason for two NPCs from the same place to have different accents.

Maybe I'm used to Xenoblade but their Bri ish ness doesn't affect me. And Xenoblade worlds are much bigger than Wuwa, so many regions and worlds but all Bri ish. Final fantasy as well but that's more Shakespeare Though I wouldn't mind Wuwa going the Reverse or Arknights route

@@tsukiri_masho Haven't played Xenoblade but seeing a couple of videos I can tell you that it's better just by the simple fact that it's consistent. If what you're saying by going the Reverse or Arknights route is making the cast speak in an accent they're confortable with, I agree, that would be better than getting jumpscared by random NPC in the middle of buttering their crumpets.

It's kinda difficult to keep up with Chinese words and names. Huanglong(Jinzou) should be the 2nd region and New Federation as the first region instead. Mihoyo did a good job doing it, they make Liyue and Loufu as 2nd/3rd region while starting on a familiar Western/European regions.
