Phyllis Diller was on A & E's Biography of Liberace. She said that he told her his success was completely due to "The Magic of Believing". She said more in regard to using it herself which is why I went out and bought the book and later the audio book. Within 3 months my first 'Word Picture' came true in fact it was more than I was aiming for. Liberace & Phyllis Diller hold a very special place in my heart. I love them both & especially Phyllis Diller for sharing her experience with T.M.O.B..

An acquaintance I know went to a New Year's party in 2011 and he spent over an hour talking with Phyllis Diller who was a guest there. He said that she was so fascinating and talked extensively about "The Magic Of Believing" and how it changed her life so much! Another great believer in that book was the pianist Liberace...

There was SO much more to Phyllis Diller than just the laugh or the brilliant comedy. She was an Amazing writer and comic - which everyone knows. She was a brilliant business person.. she was an extremely talented artist.. a hell of a cook.. a concert pianist.. an articulate and inspirational public speaker (with something of great value to say), and she understood every technical aspect of theater and live performance: Sound, Lighting, Timing - she understood it all. And on top of all that, according to every assistant who ever worked with her, she was just a damn nice and considerate person. Rest Well, Ms. Diller - You've earned it.

I believe, before she went into show business, she was a copy-editor! That takes intelligence and attention to detail. She could have done anything in this life. I always and still do, love her.

This was one of the first books I read of this kind in the 80's, and it was an awakening for me. The author died in 1951 I think, the book was written after WWII and at the end he says something like this: imagine if we still believing, one day maybe we will go to the moon!

Reading is one thing as Phyllis Diller states e.g. people read the book but after that nothing. I read and re-read the book for two years and this is who I am now. She also mentioned that she gave a copy to Liberace (world renown pianist and showmen) and he used its inspiration wisdom in his successful comical magical lifetime. Phyllis Diller net worth: Legendary comedienne Phyllis Diller had an estimated net worth of $15 million. To go along with her net worth, Phyllis Diller was also one of the most influential comedians to ever perform on stage. Comment by Bruce Marchetta SD CA Comedy Act of Celebrity Moments. 3-1-2017

It sounds like she has educated herself and gained wisdom and self confidence, which are vital to achieving success in any area. I like what she thinks about not relying on others. If we don't know who we are and aren't confident about what we believe, we may tend to rely on others for direction and motivation. Those are weaknesses and until we have a good understanding of who we are, what we want and how to get there, we'll never achieve anything.

Everybody tell her what to do and where to go!you gotta believe in yourself-we all have electricity but plug it in-takes barrel guts to withstand rejection hecklers and being bombed-in comedian game-she looks youthful- has plastic surgery -goes to gym-thinks new thoughts spread cheer- neg comments just water off ducks back- shes MIL-got few kids too-time isnt right yet for autobiography.Gotta be yourself overcome fear dont be like everybody else.Still happily learning about life but end of day be good kind person and cheer someone up.
