That cleanup job was great. I usually don't mess with my stickers unless they're already half removed. One of the most annoying things about buying through brick and mortar are those damn stickers.

With fraying cardboard edges/corners I use a 50/50 mix of PVA glue and water in a dropper bottle and soak a tiny drop on the edge and then pinch it flat with a clothes peg. It should stop it fraying and give you a nice crisp edge.

Goo Gone works great. For light sticky residue I take a piece of duct tape and lightly stick it to the residue, and it works great for removing it. For light scratches on my DVDs, I clean it with lense cleaner or isopropyl alcohol and then apply a coat of car wax and once dry buff it. It fills in the scratches great and has saved a lot of my dvds and cds over the past twenty years. Nerds Rule!

Some good tips in this video, I hate when stores put huge price stickers right on the slip cover. Barnes & Noble does that. And I think those tools you use might be called spudgers too.

you're really good at that especially the girl next door slipcover.....the halloween 4k's from scream factory, you know that slipcases you put the movie in sideways, one of them the art is coming off at the bottom. i just used alittle gorilla glue and problem solved but if it was up to me id rather the newer regular slipcovers for the scream factory halloween 4k's because it always happens with those. great video!

Thanks! I havnt seen the Halloween slips, I had to glue the spine on the new Jackie Brown 4k slip cause it was coming loose, brand new lol 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️

New tip: use a dry eraser along side with the lf and gg or by itself sometimes it works great for removing permanent markers.

Excellent video. Stuff like this helps tremendously. Quick question that's not entirely unrelated: I have quite a few movies but never really cared about the slips until the last few months (lost quite a few that I wished I had kept). Is there a website that sells movies that will tell you if the 4k's or Blu-rays come with the slips (other than scrolling through ebay)? I've bought quite a few movies off Amazon, but they seem to always come in just the regular keepcase without the slip. I guess basically what I'm asking is what are the best sites online to order movies where you know you'll get the slipcases with them?

I always hated the old school security price stickers that circuit city used. I’d have to let them sit and soak and work for days, uncoiling them a little at a time.

WD40 and a Q-tip also works pretty good on some stickers/glues.

Does anyone ever have the problem of the plastic wrapper sticking to the spine of the cases when you're taking it off? I continuously have this problem. Does anyone have a solution to getting it off without damaging the case?

Barnes & Noble stickers are the worst - there's like a foil anti-theft square under them and they won't come off in one piece or easily without damaging the slipcover underneath. They also tend to stick them right over the director signature sticker on the Criterions.

I hate when stores slap one of their big cheap stickers on the freaking cardboard Slipcover! I had to throw away my slip of 007: Skyfall, cause i damaged it trying to remove sticker.

Fck yeah I'm a slip freak too.. the only liquid I use is rubbing alcohol and the dabbing technique works well with the sharpie.. not a lot left to do tho bc I'm careful with my sht now..

No, I want to, I have a bunch of 3D movies that came with my Blu-ray’s but don’t have a player or TV, I can find players easily at goodwills, but TVs not so much

Goo Gone doesn't work on stickers, it only works on the glue underneath. Easiest method is saliva - Apply saliva to sticker, wait a few minutes then peel the top layer off. Once the glue is exposed goo gone will take it away with ease.
