This is really cool! I actually have a couple of those Kingston Data Traveler's. So despite having these, I didn't even know they existed! A very elegant solution that I'm sure along with the benefits listed already also saves costs too.

I also just recently learned about these too! I forgot to mention in the video that the longer version of the chip inside the Kingston DataTraveller is the longer, ‘standard version’ of UDP, while the one I showed in the video is called a “micro UDP”

i have a whole pile of thiese chips, infact i have a 32gb one in my pocket right now, one thing i have experienced is the larger capacity ones shutting down from overheating.

Explain it in depth where you made USB drives smaller than my existence

Any chance you could provide the Aliexpress link to that adapter? I havent had much luck finding that exact one. Thank you, Great Idea.

The orange adapter? Because I designed and 3D printed that, but I could make the STL files available if you have a 3D printer. I’ve also been thinking of maybe making a lot of them and listing them on eBay or something at a really low price since it’s just a tiny piece of plastic. Although the USB 3.0 version of the UDP chips fit in standard USB ports no problem…

@@KeonsLab he's prob talking about the Usb A to Usb C adapter that you specifically said was on aliexpress, not the plastic case you 3d printed.
