I understand that sometimes science in the public eye needs to be a little more light hearted but science is also supposed to be something reputable and trustworthy. Most laypeople won't be able to discern the bullshit from the actual science and that's where the problem lies. Kurzgesagt is an excellent channel because of this, they try to deliver as factual as possible information in an entertaining and lighthearted (though existential at times) format in a way that most people can understand. Science communication is extremely important and when scam channels capitalise on the ease of clickbait videos more and more people can be led down the wrong path leading to the dunning kruger effect and in more extreme cases, complete scientific delusion (Spirit Science, astrology, quantum mystics, anti-vax, etc). Either way, love the videos man, and your Kurzgesagt reaction spam is fine because it's quality content

I saw the video you're reacting to a few months ago and recognized TheSimplySpace in there. My science education is one atronomy class 16yrs ago, one physics class 14yrs ago, and loads of biology up to microscopic biology, organismal biology amd microbiolgy. Lower level classes. I'm a C student. I am DISTURBED a medical doctor thought thse vids were real. Over a year ago I was one of SimplySpace commenters complaining about the clickbait titles and stopped watching at one too many JW telescope titles saying obviously wrong things. A medical doctor???

Thanks for the laugh. I was curious to find out who was making these crap-sci videos...found 'cosmos lab'...ironically yours was right beside the AI generated videos. You put up Thor, and he addressed the same concerns as I have. So I know I'm on the right track. You did mention something that struck me...the 'bullshit detector'.....in this country 15% of the population has an education beyond high school....'low BS sensitivity'.....of the 15% half complete a degree, midrange bs sensitivity, and an even lower number go beyond....Even doctors can be fooled. Fortunately AI is in its infant stage, silly bots....poor language skills...so for those who are concerned questions are raised. What happens when we can't see the BS?

I wanted to react on another video but it wasn’t possible. The video of you eeacting to the dimension video. You said your allways passing through time, but time is a human made concept. Time is not really there, since if time really was like a place or something, we could go to that place of yesterday, but we can’t because that place is the same place as the place we are in now. Time is just there because of movement and actions. That’s how we can like have different parts in time. But like if there was absolutely nothing, like no molecules nothing, there would not be time, because the only way to use time is to see how thing act and move. So time is more like a performance of acts. A clock performs the movement of the sun. Now that kid was saying that if there is no movement, there is nog time since time is a performance of acts.
