I understand 300K comes from ambient temperature, ¿500K is the temperature in the combustion chamber?

Mr. Professor should we use Kelvin scale or we can use Celsius since the fractions are different? (-273 oC is not achievable). Mr Professor NOx are the problem in gasoline engines (low temperature) should not we increase the temperature of combustion and reduce nitrogen oxides?

For the "difference" in temperature it doesn't matter, but for the absolute temperature we must use Kelvin.
