Physics education class on electromagnetic waves, frequency & wavelength FREE science lesson: How water waves, sound waves and light waves are all similar? They can all be described in terms of their wavelength, frequency, amplitude and speed. Each of these parameters are defined so that science students can see clearly what they mean, and how they are measured. The famous German scientist Heinrich Hertz is discussed. Simple harmonic motion is also introduced and a couple of examples are shown. The difference between the motion of the wave and the motion of the medium is clarified.

@@AtomicSchool yes SIR I know that actually almost every internet teacher is first an offline teacher. I was just praising internet because it connects the world, any student from different parts of the world can learn anything from any teacher from other part and that's so much appreciating work of human civilization. It just feels really good because students who belong to poor countries or places who don't have good teachers can learn online from brilliant ones like you ❤️. So in short I was just saying that offline learning can become limited one time but online learning is endless just like the universe. If I said something much or something irrelevant in the above comment then I am sorry sir🙇. But I really do appreciate your work sir you are doing a great job just keep it up because who knows someone might get interested in Science just by seeing your videos. Thank you for this one☺️

I did searched about you sir and I even saw your TEDx video, you really really have a very grand vision sir and I am so much fascinated by it that I will definitely promote it in my near future, young children should really practice modern magic from their early age and they really do understand it and finally when we will have an entire era of such children that time scientific research development rate will reach it's peak. Plesae, please change the statement at 1:48, in which the speaker says "velocity is another word for speed". In physics "velocity" and "speed" have different meanings. Speed is the rate of change of motion; velocity includes a change in position. Speed relates to distance; velocity relates to displacement. Speed is a scalar quantity; velocity is a vector.
@AtomicSchool
@AtomicSchool 3 жыл бұрын
I agree, Graham. I just tried to edit this video, but it's not showing up on my KZbin studio settings. I notice other youtube users are having the same access issue, but Google has not posted a reply to this yet unless I'm missing something. I plan to make an annotation like "Speed and velocity are only the same in a straight line motion" or "Speed is the velocities magnitude". Any other wording you can suggest? The problem is that most wave equations use the symbol v for speed, and since this video is made for elementary students, and also is straight-line motion, I thought the simplifying effect of equating speed and velocity was worth it. But I agree with you that it is jarring. You are the first to comment on this. When I figure it out, I will make some kind of correction. Unfortunately, I can't re-record the voice.

Hi Amara. When a wave passes into another medium it often changes speed. If it approaches at an angle, it can bend the direction of the wave. That's a refraction. If it just bounces off it's reflection. This really needs another video.
