Sir as due to elastic nature of the wire it behaves somewhat like a spring... so will the suspended mass perform shm.. I expect a sooner reply
@physicsgalaxyworld
@physicsgalaxyworld 9 жыл бұрын
+Mohammad Farazuddin Yes it will be but only if the amplitude of shm is less than the extension in wire due to weight...

@@physicsgalaxyworldsir you mean a weight tied to a rod will perform shm when released ? I can't think it practically, how will rod perform shm (it will not shrink back ?)

If rod can be treated as spring, self elongation will become MGL/AY as opposed to MGL/2AY

Sir steel has more modulus of elasticity than rubber means it is more elastic than rubber or not

dont get confused it is very simple. first of all leave about the basic definition of elasticity that we use in our daily life (that elastic means more expandable) now remember that elastic means stiffness thats why steel is more elastic than rubber (elastic nature, that is stiffness increases with modulus of elasticity so Y(steel)>Y(rubber) and steel cannoat be deformed with small forces where as rubber can be

Sir how to solve it without this trick...i mean by complete method... Can u please give m hint how to approach
@physicsgalaxyworld
@physicsgalaxyworld 6 жыл бұрын
You can use tension same in the rods in series and use the formula for Young's modulus... final result will be same... but considering equivalent springs is easier to solve...
