Sir at 1:50 why we are dividing mass of metal with their specific gravity? Should we not divide mass of metal by [(Specific gravity)×(density of water)] to get volume of each metal in alloy?? Please reply sir I am confused in the equation obtained.
@SheryanKumar Жыл бұрын
We are taking density in terms of g/cm3 so density of water here is 1

I guess there is a flaw in this question, In the first sentence of the question instead of mass there must be "weight" OR instead of weight in the 3rd sentence there must be "mass". Tell me If I am wrong.
@physicsgalaxyworld6 жыл бұрын
you only need to understand that in a question if mass is given then it is considered as bare mass of body in free space and whenever we measure mass of a body inside a fluid then it is always measured by accounting the buoyance force so always WEIGHT is measured and then it is divided by g (acc due to gravity) to calculate its effective weight... so it is termed as weight only but expressed in units of mass...

Density of 1st obj=[S.G.][density of water]=[11.4].[1] in cgs .............and g is cancelled in both side. Apply v.ro.g=v.ro[as g is cancelled]=m/d.ro=[x/11.4] [1]...........have a great day

Sir why are we Multipying with specific gravity of water....as Mass of metal / Specific gravity(if it is density of sub./density of water) Should alone give us...Vp...
@swayamrout90056 жыл бұрын
Sir why the volumes are added? The alloy may be homogeneous.
@physicsgalaxyworld6 жыл бұрын
This is because the mass of alloy is due to the two metals... and we do not consider cavities in it unless specified or some hint is there in question...
