Although the LUCAS 3 does come with a disposable suction cup for use on the compression piston, the unit does not officially perform any active decompression CPR function. However, the device may assist the chest back to neutral. This is a claim Zoll can safely make since every patient's chest/situation is different, and active decompression will happen in some patients. I though the same aswell at the beginning! But that is actually not true. Physio Control (Stryker) has some great material on that to showcase larger patients. Honestly I have gotten this thing on some massive people!!
