Future recommendation: Clinical prediction rule by Cook falls under Neurogenic claudication. In the future consider making clustors or signs and symptoms of Vascular claudication. There is a lot of questions pertaining to Neurogenic claudication vs Vascular claudication in NPTE exam! Great video though.

Vascular claudication is quite different. Have included the differential diagnosis in our online course

Isn't it the sensitivity which should be 4/5 as it represents the true positive of the cluster? And the specificity 0/5?
@Physiotutors5 жыл бұрын
It's better not to look at the definition of the terms sensitivity and specificity as this is where people get confused. Sensitivity is indeed the true positive rate. The video is correct, sensitivity is always high in case nearly all tests score negative, because the false negatives are pretty low or zero. Maybe it's easier to watch our videos on sens and specs and especially the calculation thereof.

Make a video on lumbar spondylosis special test

Hey guys, in you video of Lumbar radicular syndrome vs intermittent Neuro claudication, you said LRS had more pain in the leg than the back, then how come it is seen in stenosis. I thought it was isolated to LRS
@Physiotutors5 жыл бұрын
Radicular Leg pain is often seen in lateral recess and foraminal stenosis

If 5/5 symptoms are positive, but the LRS and the kemp test are both negative (no familiar pain arises), would it still seem to be a stenosis?
@Physiotutors2 жыл бұрын
Kemps test is not necessarily positive in central lumbar stenosis.

😂 I'm 40 and have it. How are supposed to strengthen your lower back muscles, with lumbar stenosis?

nobody cares about matematical accuracy..just tell us about the condition and a few thing you can do to treat it👍

Maybe check out our blog article why we think statistics are important: www.physiotutors.com/how-statistics-will-make-you-a-better-physiotherapist/ If this doesn't convince you, just skip the intro part...;)

i actually disagree. i think statistics matters and it's very important. it should be implemented in all clinical evaluation video. honestly, if we keep doing assessment unknowingly of it's SEN and SPE it'd be interpreted . .mistakenly . also it'd tell you whether if this evaluation does matter or if it is just waste of effort. i think many examination are overvalued e.g. mcmurry's test i dont think it has any significant value aside of using in OSCE examination
