Hey there. Well. Good question. Keep in mind the founders have pre-mined Pi. I have no idea for how much. Also keep in mind that they currently own Pi with no public blockchain and no code review. So they could issue themselves as much Pi as they wish. They are their own central bank. They need to be careful with that power. If they give themselves too much, they'll lose trust and dilute their currency when it does finally get released. But to answer your question -- the founders SHOULD be in this both to get rich (both on Pi itself) and in the ability to create an entire company around the Pi ecosystem similar to how Facebook runs their entire platform. Just my guesses. I have no insider information here though I have talked to the founders once.

It’s not really mining so much as “claiming” since it’s a consensus algorithm vs PoW or PoS. No value to Pi at all. Until wallets are released it’ll take some time before we see what it’s initial value is.

Check with Pi mods. But in most cases, you need to go with whatever your government recognizes as your name. If a name change is further in the future, I wouldn't worry about it. The KYC is a one time check, so it'll need to be current to whatever your government recognizes.

Pi utilizes YOTI for KYC. So Pi isn’t doing this operation. YOTI does this as their primary line of business is KYC for third parties like Pi and many others.

I wouldn't say too late. Unless they build their own very large network of referrals, they probably won't build a high amount of Pi, but that's fine. The more users are active and involved in Pi, the better off everyone is longer term.

I've switched phones and maintained access. Just make sure your new phone is able to mine and has access to all your Pi. Once that's safe and confirmed for a few days, you are safe to hard reset your old phone.

I tried to invite people to join Pi Network but they are hesitant to join since they think it's not legitimate or that it might be another scam or networking scheme. They are also afraid that Pi Network might use their personal and confidential information stored on their mobile phones or Facebook Accounts. What assurance could Pi Network give them that this will not happen or that privacy of information will not be violated. Thanks.
