I just ordered an axiom with 16 inch mono. I’m stoked to use it along side my gold monster

Definitely interesting. I've never searched for gold nuggets or run a pi machine.

Great video. Does the XPD2 have the audio filter option in the gold program and if it does have you turned it up? It's done wonders for me in other programs.
@RelicsRings2 ай бұрын
@@1CarsonChris you can change the audio filter in the Goldfield program. I personally haven't used it above 0 much.

Great comparison! I am just starting to try out the Manticore for gold. Our area is loaded with red iron soil and pockets of solid magnatite rocks at the spot Im working now. The 6000 with a coiltec 5x10 is by far quieter and more sensitive than the stock 11" for smaller gold and the coiltec 9x14 is also much quieter but goes a bit deeper than the 5x10. The 6000 is noticbly better on smaller gold than the 7000 with 12" nugget finder. The 6000 also feeds back on itself and performs worse at high sensitivity settings. Suggest using two or three from the bottom sensitivity and can be better. Very hot machine but fantastic. In wet alkali the 6000 struggles to function at all with excessive feed back where soil sounds like targets everywhere. Any lightening or high dry wind and the 6000 gets very chippy. The 7000 can handle the wet alkali in Nv. and can actually operate in mild lightening with patience. Are you able to recommend the brand and where to purchase the lower shaft for the manticore? I will be getting one in the mail. Thanks for the excellent comparison.

@chrisc8856 thanks for all your comments. As you've stated is really all depends on you soil conditions as to which detector you need to use. Here is the site for the lower rod for the Manticore. www.stevesdetectorrods.com/ he doesn't have them on the site so you'll need to email him to get one ordered

Well described, I also use both those machines and you are 100% correct. Also, I find the gpz 7000 handles hot ground better. The 6000 performs better in difficult when there are a lot of hot rocks, and the 14" dd is very useful when there are storms around or the ground is wet. I live and detect the tropics btw, our dry season is very dry, little or no rain for 6 months, and our wet season is very wet for about 4 to 6 months.

Another very well done video. The 6 and manticore is a good combo. How do you think the manticore and monster compare on these targets?
@RelicsRings2 ай бұрын
@Billsadventures13 i haven't personally compared the two, so I can't say for sure. But I know people that have and some prefer the Manticore, others stay with the Monster. It probably depends on how simple of a machine you want.
@mase2022 ай бұрын
why did you order a lower rod for the manticore?
@RelicsRings2 ай бұрын
@mase202 the lower carbon fiber rod that comes with the detector is conductive and may lower the performance on small gold. I have a video coming in a few weeks discussing the issue.

I like the fact that the Deus could hit those targets with an Audio Response of only 4. Bump it up, and lower recovery speed, and it might hit the last target as well. It didn’t sound like the mineralization was affecting it at all. And as mentioned above, you can play with Audio Filter. Does the Manticore require a recovery speed of 6, to be stable? I would also want to see it’s lowest stable recovery speed, to see if it can hit the last target. Hopefully that would help with it’s tendency to call some gold, iron. The Equinox 800 would call some gold, iron as well.

@Detectken you can go 5 on the Manticore for recovery but it still won't hit the deepest target. I pretty much had both machines setup the way i would run them at that site. Every site is going to be different, so you'll need to determine for yourself what settings will work for your area.

Great video. Will gpz7000 performs better then 6000?
@RelicsRings2 ай бұрын
@seregakrik 7000 will go deeper, might do just as good on the small stuff with aftermarket coils.

Looks like you not far from me. I have same detectors D2, manticore and gpz7000. Have 5 acres in near placerville. Let me know if you want to go detecting/prospecting.

I sure wish you would have had the Nox 800 there also.I think it is better than the Manticore with raw gold I have them both but thats just me.

@rickkeifer3472 i has a Nox 800 but have found way more small nuggets with the Manticore, so I sold the 800.

Спасибо. Хороший тест. Но приборы лучше сравнивать с датчиками одинакового размера. Тем более разные технологии. PI с монокатушкой лучше брать даже меньшего диаметра, чем датчик DD VLF.
