I wouldn't mind seeing more of these vids using comparing both same as this. It's cool to see how they react with the same targets in a fairly neutral way. I'd like to see you push each one to the max using custom setups and see how they fair in another "neutral" shootout. Cheers.

@@mase202 the more I learn the manticore, the better it is each time I go out.. I've used a deus 1 for 10 years and deus 2 for 2 years... having a change over to the manticore has been an experience :) I've found with the latest 2.0 update on the dues 2.. I've lost some confidence when it comes to what to dig.. with the manticore it's night and day.. I don't know how bettter to explain it..

Hi@@WaldregTheGreat both machines give off a TID Target ID number usually 0-100 when waved over a ferrous or non ferrous target. The higher the number is generally a higher conductor like a big silver coin of large sheet metal, the lower the number are smaller targets such as small hammered coins or gold foil or tiny lead. Iron usually comes in negative numbers or below 0. Whatever machine you use give the user manual a good read through and that will help you massively Thanks

FYI the general program nulls out garbage at power numbers as a default for newbies so you dont dig a ton of crap. Saying that you would miss gold because of the lower numbers is laughable Gold on the Deus starts at 37 for smal chains and 40 plus on anything else gold. You need to put some serious hours on the Deus before you try to sound like an expert. LOL

Hi@@jdeee9274 discrimination was set at 6.8 in the video so everything above that the deus 2 will hear, general is a very powerful program and is suited to beginners and experienced users, it simply runs ground suppression to quieten down the machine on wet ground. And as for gold id’s.. you carry on ignoring targets below 37 because there is no rule to what id or sound any target will make when you swing your detector over it, thank me later👍 The reason the deus 2 did not hear those low conductors in the video was due to the reactivity, for me past reactivity 2 i find depth drops right off, I had it set at 2.5 to compare to the manticores 5. Oh.. and there’s no experts on our channel, we just find stuff and share our thoughts, apologies if it’s not to your liking🫡👍

Show me a target under 37 that is not garbage and if one uses the factory programs on the Deus and probably any detector you are then wasting your time and that’s where you are missing targets

@@jdeee9274 one of my best romans being a limes geta came in at 36, I’ve had hammered below 30, I’m sure you know that numbers mean nothing! If it sounds good you dig it and if your on a hot spot dig the iron and everything else

@@DIRTBROSDETECTING First most of us don’t live in the land of pastures filled with Roman treasures so for us there is nothing to dig at those low numbers, except possibly a tiny earring back so small that the Manticore would most likely not hear it??? Here also digging those low numbers might yield crusty nails along with all other forms of crapulence and that’s 99.99999% of what will be dug so it is truly a waste of time. My issue is that you try to make it look like the Deus is inferior to the Manticore while in fact I as no expert but have 10s of thousands of hours on the machine against and with others using the Minelab products can safely say you are totally wrong and the Deus is by far superior. You need to open up the Deus and you might be very surprised that you are missing lots of targets that the Manticore just can’t register not just the low hanging fruit that this machine finds.
