Agreed! I own the 2009 Aprilia version of this scooter (purchased about 6 months ago) and I would love to see more videos (e.g. removing body panels, coolant change, brake fluid change, etc., etc.)

@1:08 Polini (although there might be others too) makes oil filters for the Quasar Engine (I believe all 250 cc Piaggio/Vespa machines share the same engine) that have a standard (metric) hexagonal bolt-like head that can be removed/mounted with a standard wrench, these slotted filters are stupid. The Piaggio manual says the transmission needs 250 cc of oil. I'm pretty sure Allen wrenches with a handle are available in the United States. Btw this video is very well put together

Thanks for the info on the Polini filters. The slot top would be hard for anybody without a hammer like mine to remove.

What country you're in? I was able to buy 5W - 40 in our local auto store, it's also available cheaper on Amazon. Its called diesel oil.

250 X9 Piaggio oil level should be checked on the side stand, gear box on centre stand.

OMFG! thank you for this video! i have been searching for a tech manual/video on how to locate the damn hub oil drain plug. Who came up with that plan?! thats a terrible place to put a drain plug.

My local piaggio mehanic said this is wrong way of checking oil level with that screw in saunding cap. You need to dip it in without crewing it all the way. Now im asking if this is true or not? There is about half of cm difference.

According to the manual it takes 1.2 litres for the engine and 400cc for the rear hub. Be sure to use gear oil, not engine oil for the hub.....Thanks for watching.

How much oil should be in the transmission 250 cc or 400 cc. The instruction says that 250 cc, but it also says that the oil should be on the second cut of the indicator and when I pour 250 cc, it is on the first. Please clarify if there is a mistake in the manual.

Hello I been needing help with my BV 250 2006. I can’t find any video online to swap out my cylinder. I started from the front end but I think I’m ruining the bike. I lost my keys and send out my cdi to get a new set. So I’m stuck at the cylinder ☹️. If you could be of any help to guide me I would greatly appreciate it.
