Piaggio Vespa 125, I had to replace the fuel pump. I checked the relays and electrics but the fuel pump was intermittent and wouldn't prime. Once the fuel pump was fitted, I too it on road test and was amazed how good this little moped went. My Microphone is breaking-up sorry for the poor audio.

This is a great review! I live i Sweden and i have a Vespa Lx 125 2006. I love this little Vespa and i hade a Kawasaki 900 before this one. It is so simple to ride and make me smile everytime i ride it!! I have 3 km to my work and i take a longer turn home just to ride it. I think i gonna buy me 300 GTS HPE but this i enough for now. My mother is 70 and she bought a Vespa 250 an ride it every day!! So those machines are special!!

I miss my Vespa over here in Barcelona. I suffered a stroke in july 2015 and I still can't ride :( Best thing for cities, or short trips like yours in roads. Take care and stay safe.

Thank you for commenting. I fully agree with you, they are fantastic little bikes! Up until this day I had never ridden a Vespa, and I liked it a whole lot. I know recovery can take a long time but I do hope that you will be able to ride again one day!

I own a 50cc Vespa Primvera. The previous owner did not change the oil for 11,000km and it was me noticing that the oil wasnt change when the light came on, so that must attest that its rather a quality product after all :P

Lol, no problem, wish I still had my fs1e though having stood against one a couple of years ago I doubt I would fit it. It seemed so big to me back in the summer of 76. Keep riding bro.

Alright everyone just brought my 1st ever vespa today! (Had prior bikes just not piaggio) how does everyone find the ride? Obviously coming from two forked suspensions to a one fork (vespa) I find driving in a straight line feels like its pulling? Maybe understeer hard to actually explain does anyone else get this sensation? Or feeling or is it a common vespa thing? Thanks all ❤

Takes balls to ride a scooter that and wearing pink socks lol. But I have to admit anything on 2 wheels is better than being a caged in a car. It's a far cry from 1300cc's and 180hp k13000!!! Great video my brother. Peace bro

- Yeah, what a difference! I did have fun tho. It is now back with its owner and I wont be seeing it for another year. Today I did Technical Training at at Harley Dealer, photos on Twitter. Was a bloody brilliant afternoon, I learnt so much in just a few hours. We traded expertise, I did a few hrs work on a staff members car and they let me come into their work shop for the afternoon. I gotta say, no "grease monkeys" in sight, they were highly trained and quite friendly. Awesome afternoon, when I arrived home I greeted the dog and then slept on the sofa for a few hrs

Moto Tingle Harley mechanics are the most professional in the industry despite the seemingly low tech engineering in most Harley's at least in the states I can voucher for. Ironically it's the Japanese Motorsports mechanics that are hacks here lol Harley's techs are the best trained and paid for that matter here in the states I often wonder about making a career change but auto still pays better

Moto Tingle thanks for the busman holiday definition didn't know. Yeah every Harley dealer here has a dynometer and tests each bike that's had performance work done mine made 111.53hp in 90f weather which is excellent but none of the other dealers here have dynometers only speed/tuner shops. But anyways thanks for replying and hope to see you here eventually

- They had a dynometer, I didn't tell anyone I had a Harley Davidson as there wasn't much time for chit-chat, plus I noted that anyone that said they had a Harley were given less interesting jobs/faults to work through. I have been having a little hassle with my V-Rod after fitting the Fuel Pack it's been shutting down power when the throttle is still at 3%, I figured out how to calibrate the fuel pack yesterday but didn't get a chance to ride it as it was a Friday and at the end of a long week with temps at 0'C and salt all over the roads i didn't want to wreck my bike, so I just gotta keep her at the back of the garage for another 8-12 weeks. I did start it up tho, just so I could hear the rumble for a short while. I am still wanting to come over next year, nothing's changed there. I looked your area up, I can not fucking believe your so close to Miami, I so have to go there. There's an indy Porsche place I want to pop in and see plus it's Miami! If i had my life to live all over again, I would have set up shop in Miami doing Porsche servicing and Repairs. European mechanic working on European cars, going to mansions to pickup Porsche's for customers, getting massive tips from drug dealer customers (i'm using creative licence now) and having a massive unit so I could build a collection of motorcycles that I could ride any time of the year as they wouldn't rust out like they do over here. Holidays in the Bahama's. I've missed the boat now, but man, that would be my dream life. So I gotta go Miami.

Moto Tingle yeah most of my Buell vids were commuting back and forth to my job in north Miami about 8 miles btw. A lot of commuters live here so they don't have to live in Miami we have our own international airport ft lauderdale/Hollywood airport also but Miami metro isn't far either

- It was fun to ride tho. I'm a big believer that there is a whole world of motorcycles out there to explore, so I kept my mind open and it turns out the Vespa was brill at its job. I'm just praying for a dry February because all this cold and rain has been ruining motorcycle ride outs. Thanks for stopping by and commenting..! What was this lx's speed up a descent hill, my lx seems to lag at around 35 mph uphills, any suggestions?
@MotoTingle
@MotoTingle 5 жыл бұрын
Easily 45mph on the steepest hill I went up. Worth mentioning it to your technician at next service, most likely culprit is the CVT area

@@MotoTingle Thanks for the advice I think it may be worn rings, done rollers, belt, new choke, new carb etc but generally lacks pep and on steep hills it still drops in speed and takes a while to pick it back up again. Looking at the cylinder and piston next. 2 mechanics have told me it is at optimum but I find it hard to believe a 125 cant outdo a descent 50 uphill
@MotoTingle

@@MotoTingle Do you run a motocycle garage in the Exeter area? So far have had two mechanics fix the same carb "problems" about 5 times which never actually solves the problem of it dropping speed up hill. they just say the LX is slow and the 35 mph is the optimal speed uphill, according to yourself, vespa uk mechanics I have spoken too and other LX riders this is BS. I need it because I work in Sidmouth which is quite a hilly road with a 50 limit, which my trusty old et4 125 can climb at 45 - 50 but my LX drops to 30 -35 mph (on hills like Redhills in Exeter). If you could let me know where you are I could let you look it over?

That is a very GOOD question, it very much depends on the Black Mamba, some are mere 9" and some are as long and thick as a human arm.

Do you know what the word “moped” means? I doubt it. Nice enough video but I found your flick down flick up panning disorienting, I like to full screen the video content to engage myself into the experience but that up down up down quick flick made me turn away. I like your enthusiasm, and don’t want to put down your videos, just a quick background on me. I have been riding for, probably to long really I’m beginning to fell a bit prehistoric when I do ride now.but I do have a wealth of 2wheel experience. I got my first 50cc “moped” in 1976. It was a 1975 Yamaha fs1e I then had a Kawasaki kh250cc 2stroke which I took my test on. I have ridden since then and currently have a Vespa PX 200efl and a BMW RT1100 . Do keep up the videos and try not to make me feel sick next time I come for a virtual pillion ride with you. Cheers Dave
