Piano Discovered In Traditional Victorian London Boozer!

Hi there everyone. I've been on my 'Pub Piano Quest' again. This time I'm in Clerkenwell, Central London. A pub that is not very far from me called 'The Betsey Trotwood'. Here I discover a real traditional London Pub with wonderful people and a good old upright traditional pub piano.
I'm actually playing a gig here on Sunday, September, 22nd 2024 - It's the official launch gig of my 'Sunday Service' LP on Glorious Double Red Vinyl. Doors at 4pm - Sunday / 22nd / September 2024.

Reminds me many, many years ago when I was a child waiting at the door pub with a packet of crisps while my grand father had a pint inside. Always somebody playing the piano and the only thing I wanted was to get in,but I was too young. Few years later I was with my wife in this pub but the piano had been replaced by slot machine...what a sound. Merci pour ce bon moment.

I worked for 1st Choice Logistics in the early to late 90’s out of Hollywell Row EC2 Later for City Sprint but got disillusioned with it because the money was never there and too dangerous in the end. Getting flung from the city to the west end with just one package at a time, then waiting for the next non existent package to come along.

Loved it. Got a "mini Miles" concert here in this lovely video. Great variety. Angie is a peach and she's definitely in the right kind of job. It is a shame that the old tyme pianos in pubs is a thing of the past. There's just something about hearing some vibrant boogie woogie while in a setting like that which just feels right. Get rid of all the flat screens and sports.
