A lone revolutionary is lying down, resting, upon a hill. Mere moments ago, he and his brothers and sisters in the revolution were embroiled in a raging battle with private mercenaries and the army of the fascist regime. He lost many friends in that battle, and victory is doing little to ease his sorrow. However, a glance at a photograph of his dearest wife, who was executed for criticism of the state, and the recollection of his fallen comrades spurs his soul to life once more. Though he does not know when or where his next battle will be, or if it indeed will be his last, he would be shot a thousand, no million times! If it meant he could avenge his love and friends. But he is weary, so he lost permits himself to sleep atop the grass of the hillside. When his mind recedes into sleep, he dreams of a world where freedom, hope, opportunity, and friendship are in no short supply. What a wonderful world that will be.

Monsieur Jack Tarantella Napoletana is a fun Italian folk song, but Korobeiniki I actually had to learn for music class. (I was the only one in the class who didn't choose hip hop or pop or something of that sort) It's by Nikolay Alexeyevich Nekrasov
@MonsieurJack957 жыл бұрын
Haha, well. Someone has to keep this music alive! I generally detest the whole angsty "punk anarchist" culture. I personally know a few people who call themselves anarchists/communists and only one of them listens to the old music... which I consider more representative of the ideology since, well, it's what was sung when the great battles were being fought. I know very little of Ukrainian anarchist music, besides "Mother Anarchy Loves Her Sons." I will eventually sift through it all, but if you (or any others) had some favorites you could recommend I'd appreciate it!

@crumb1676 жыл бұрын
also some people in antifa are anti-fascist... in Germany it was admittedly non-antifa people but in one example a few years ago civilians blocked a huge AfD marching column from entering Dresden... i admit that the American situation is bit cancerous, with two groups going to some random town and beating each other up, but antifa in the 30's/20's was mostly a local branch to defend the workers from the SA (known for murdering and beating up their political opponents, with the police turning a blind eye and not protecting the workers - the antifa had to do it themselves). Btw the flag is the anarchy-communist flag. Red represents the broader marxist side and the black the anarchists forming the united front. it was used around the world also in the Spanish civil war.. and antifa nowadays have just kept their flag
