I like all of your videos, but this one is one of my favorites. Such challenging and useful exercises. Note to everyone: these are really challenging, but if you slow them down and really work on them, they will improve your coordination so much!

So refreshing and comforting - an online teacher dressed modestly, actually "selling" knowledge and tips, and not her body. Thanks, Kaitlyn, for sharing these valuable and useful lessons, and... doing so in a very dignified manner.

Professional Piano student here. Huh, this has been my warm-up routine for a couple years. Nice tips about the rhythm changes, though. I’ll add them in. I also carry this through to triplets and quadruplets. I can do legato and staccato fairly well, but loud and soft is still a challenge. I like doing contrary motion, but sometimes I add a different challenge. Play two different scales in each hand.

pianoly, A question. Im a 42 year old male and I have started playing digital piano since a year or so . I have little trouble playing something (from a youtube vid for example) , stuff like titanic theme, even some light classical pieces i can play without too much trouble. The area where I really struggle, is without paper. or without youtube. I have 0 improv skills, and without clear guidence I can't even seem to get my hands to do what I want (like, left plays independantly from right and the other way around) , I can't even seem to think what notes to play left / right and what would sound good together. in short, it seems that without any guidance at all, i'm completely dead in the water. i'd like to change that, but i'm unsure how to proceed. Can you perpaps give me a nudge in the right direction?

Im also interested in getting started at piano improv. Here is a video I came across today, it explains a nice framework for improvising an interesting groove at the piano - it might be of help to you - kzbin.info/www/bejne/o4uTgoGGqNdkf7s

As you say its hard to get the left hand to work independently, while you improvise with the right hand - simple tutorial that might help kzbin.info/www/bejne/d3PYlqqYe9Wsnsksi=Z_PdXyW1IzLl64vH
