Improvisation at the piano does not have to be intimidating. In fact, it can be motivating for students to sound good at the piano from their very first lesson. Students of any age or level can improvise and using the black keys makes it simple and easy. In this video, I'll share how I introduce improvisation to students.

Thank you, this was so helpful! I have been playing for a long time but I'm new to improvisation. My instructor showed me this trick, but hearing it explained by another filled in the gaps. The call and response is an excellent way to simplify and relax!
