that’s great! i played the guzheng (chinese zither) back in primary 2-6 (age range: 8-12) but i grew to hate it because it was a school thing which sucked the fun out of music. last year when i was 17, i suddenly missed playing it and i decided to formally take classes. i truly think playing an instrument is awesome~ it just makes me sad that if i continued learning the guzheng back then, i would’ve gotten my diploma (equivalent to grade 10) a long time ago. better late than never, i reckon.

I always loved music but didn't push myself to learn an instrument when I was younger, I'm more than twice your age but it's not too late! I hope to start and in a few years time at least be able to play some simple music. When I have kids, I also want to influence them from a young age to take up an instrument or two. The piano will be there for them from the start. Good on you for taking up music again!
