Wow! Very impressive routine, Tomomi! But since you are a concert pianist training is essential for your profession. It is great to see what you incorporate into your routine. It is a pleasure to watch your fingers at this close angle and see the intensity of the workout! Of course the Chopin Etudes not only are a great workout but a pleasure to hear performed so well. Thank you for sharing your routine; wonderful playing!

Thank you Donna! Yes, daily pratice is very important for a piano concertist. To reach and keep a high level takes lot of time but losing it is really fast. There's also the scale work but I thought that it would be boring to watch ^^
@tomomiconcertiste Жыл бұрын
Very well played, I like it a lot. I wish you a nice weekend. LG. Manne 🌹🌹🌹

Well played I'm not sure, there are lot of mistakes :D But it's a training so it's the exactly the purpose: "Try, make mistakes, try to fix them..." it's a neverending story. But thank you, it's always nice to have kind comments ;)

@@tomomiconcertiste I didn't notice any mistakes, but I'm not a Provi either. I liked it, I admire you for so much playing ability. LG.Manne

Maybe no big mistakes here but sometimes lack of precision in the details. Like "one finger doesn't the key like it should do, because it slipped or cling, and interfere on the nuances, the rythme." Such things. It's far to be perfect but I suppose it's hard to judge myself kindly :D

How much discipline, practice and dedication. That's why you play so wonderfully. Right now I'm starting to practice... my simple piano covers!!! 😄😉

@@tomomiconcertiste I totally agree with you, Tomomi, I take pleasure in practicing playing pop-rock piano covers, because many compositions made by pop-rock musicians are just as beautiful as classical music pieces, with which they sometimes share a lot.

Possible but it takes time and hard work to get there ;) When I was a child, there were so many talented and gifted kids, better than me... So I worked 3 times harder than anybody ( I loved so much playing that I didn't felt that hard at the time :D ) and make progress little by little. As for the result, you may never reach the top but as the proverb says: "It's not the destination but the journey that matters "As long as you take pleasure on what you do, the rest doesn't matter. :)

@@tomomiconcertiste Thank you very much for these wise words. I regret that I did not have the opportunity to play the piano since I was a child, and only in my old age I have this opportunity. I really like playing and practicing so I hope there will be some progress. I greet you warmly and admire you ❤️

Amazing! How long do you practice this kind of stuff per day on average? EDIT: Oh sorry I saw your reply to someone saying 4-8 hours a day! 😮 Full time job indeed.

Yes, 4-8 hours, can be more when there's a concert to prepare.

Wow this is amazing. 10 Chopin studies a day! How many hours do you practice a day?
@tomomiconcertiste Жыл бұрын
Well, it can vary quite a lot. If I have a concert to prepare, 8 hours per day, if there isn't around 4 hours maybe. When I was student I used to practice a lot more, up to 14 hours per day :D But as I enjoyed so much playing, I couldn't see the time flying so it didn't bother me at all ( It was hard on the body though ^^; )

Good postures are very important too. Back, shoulders, wrists, fingers, there are many things to do to prevent pain and injuries due to overwork. I learned for myself with my recent injury to my right hand (The reason I started the Left Hand Piano Etudes ;) ) Maybe I could do a video about good and bad habits? :)

@@tomomiconcertiste ever had serious injuries from practicing this long and hard? Because 4-8 hours every day is strenuous work!!
