I’m a former musician and a father of a 5 year old. This kid is having a wonderful time learning and making music for himself. The focus he’s showing alone is worth any gaps in what he’s learning. None of those habits are impossible to learn later if he goes that route. Musicians can have a certain fundamentalism about pedagogy which seems to be the case with some of the comments here. I understand their points but I’d just say he is very lucky to have found something to bring him this kind of joy. Bravo!

I think that this can be true, however, the time to go to a teacher is when you have the intention of being really good and playing in competitions. If you just want to play for fun, simply piano or any app like that is perfect! I just don’t get how an app like that can teach the dynamics that make the music interesting. Correct me if I am wrong. LOL 😆. This was 3 years ago when he started with SP, the first months I (his mom) was telling him every day to make breaks from the piano because he would have sit 2hours nonstop there 🤣. After a few months it became less.. now he's 8 and he's still practicing the piano daily but he also loves doing video games 😉. I just downloaded simply piano 3 weeks ago, I am learning to read the sheet, I wont lie, sometimes I feel so frustrated when I have to practice a fast track song, cuz I am not fast at all, I know I need more practice, I am really happy with this video, but sad at the same time because I wanted to learn the piano since I was a kid and my mom did not wanted me to practice any music instrument at all, I learned the guitar with my friends just to chill around and so some covers, but I love the piano and wanted to learn for so long, better later than never, I'll keep practicing, God bless you little kid.

Don't get frustrated and pls don't compare.. little kids learn so much faster, I see it also with other kids who started to learn in his age. The most important is to enjoy what you're doing, the passion for the music and doing your own journey! You can only progress fast when you’re motivated and actually want to play. That’s why this guy started to progress so fast, I mean I’ve been playing for 6 years now and he learns the song I play right now within months. This is why you should only play piano when you are interested and want to play, and not have your parents force you to play.

@@PazLouis hi it’s your new subscriber Ryleigh again guess what I actually don’t have to wait until me and my mom get are own house because my mom just told me that she is getting a keyboard for me from her friend Sandi but I call her Mimi she is not actually my real family but I call her Mimi and she calls me peanut so I just call her Mimi and she calls me peanut and she is the only one I let call me peanut and it comes with some beginner books and one of them has Christmas songs I can learn but I am probably going to wait until like late November early December to start learning Christmas songs because I don’t want to make like my mom listen to Christmas songs when she thinks it’s to early so I might start practicing some Christmas songs like late November early December so it can be more around the time people in the house want to hear Christmas songs because my mom probably will tell me it’s to early for her to listen to Christmas songs if I practice them when I get it and I might be able to get the keyboard today but I don’t know because she Is moving and she may have stuff to do but they are only moving across the yard from the house there moving out of so they won’t have to go to far to get all there stuff in the house they just have to move all there stuff out of the house that they are moving out of and move all the stuff in the new house which is Literally just across the yard from the house they are moving out of so they only have to go across the yard to move into there new house my mom told me that they are just moving across the yard to there new house I didn’t know that there new house would just be across the yard from there old house so they are not moving very far at all just across the yard from there old house and when they get across the yard from there old house there literally at there new house so all they have to do is go across the yard from there old house and then they are at there new house as soon as they get across the yard from there old house so we might be able to get the keyboard from her today but we don’t know because she might have stuff to do today because her and her husband Mr bob but I call him pop pop bob are moving they are moving because they are both retiring because there house belongs to a family company but they were living there but now that they are both retiring they are moving to a new house the one that’s across the yard because they are an older couple so they are both retiring so that is why they are moving so have a great day

I taught myself how to play the piano when I was 5 too! I was given an old keyboard from a family friend because they didn't use it anymore, and I've loved music since then. My first go to was a book, and I learned a couple songs and practiced often. later on, I discovered KZbin and learned my favorite songs there. I'm now 15 and I've branched off into many different instruments such as the guitar, electric guitar, violin, ukulele, kalimba, and a couple more. I'm self taught in every instrument I play expect the violin, since that was mandatory in my school. Its all about the effort and passion to get good at something. This kid is gonna go places and achieve great things.

i have watched this video for many times and this boy really impresses me how fast the progress he makes every day. I started using simply piano half year ago and played about twice a week on occasional basis. Right now I am only in essential 3 but have not mastered it yet. When I saw Louis could play Fur Elise after 3.5 months and that really makes me feel he is a piano genius. I dont want to compare myself with others and that does nothing but makes me disappointed. My progress is slow but joytunes open the door of piano world for myself, and learning piano via simply piano is really a joyful experience for myself!

I've been playing by ear. I know how to read chords. But then decided I want to learn how to read sheet music, so I started with this app. To be honest, it helps a lot with the fingering position (based on my experience). I also watch youtube tutorials to learn other techniques.

I'm 44 years old and have my first piano lesson on Monday. I don't know how to read piano notes, I don't know where the notes are, I don't know what they sound like, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know _anything._ I've been looking to KZbin to find inspiration and it seems like everyone who has recorded their "first year" of progress is a big fat liar. Reading music within the first week, moving their hands quickly, playing chords (I just learned what a frickin chord was today, mind you), and looking rather confident in their movements. All that to say that I believe this boy's progress! And although he's 1,000 years younger than I am, he has still inspired me. Thank you. Bravo!

It's ok you can use the touch screen of your phone they have the keyboard on that app I did pricts with it with my bad phone and it did a good job but I stopped in till I buy a keyboard cuz I know it would be much butter if you want you can do without a keyboard
