Dammit. I just ordered the sheet music for this song. I can barely pick through sheet music, I learn so much better this way. Haven't played in YEARS. But I'm gonna do it. Word of advice to all. Do NOT stop playing piano for years on end like I did. I lost so much ability.

Love ur tutorials. I can’t play some of your songs hands together even when I practice Hands separate. Could you suggest something that I could do except asking me to go to ur site ? No offence! You have the best tutorials on KZbin !
@HDpiano4 жыл бұрын
One of my favorite practice techniques is "Slow Practice." It's a pretty simple concept: until you can play your hands together at a very slow speed, you won't be able to play them together any faster... so start slow and gradually increase the tempo after each successful pass. Here's a video we made overviewing the concept: kzbin.info/www/bejne/inKlmXiKrqeJpK8

Our mission is to teach people their favorite songs _without_ written notation. However, making sheet music as a part of our internal workflow, so *we sell them on Musicnotes to those interested.* You'll find corresponding sheets for most of our tutorials by searching the song name + "HDpiano" in their catalog. Hope this helps!

I hate to be that person, maybe I'm just more of a beginner. I like the way the other videos break it down. He's kind of just speeding it up and not really explaining what he's doing. The 1st video may not be accurate, but he does a way better job of teaching the song.

I have to say, as someone who learned from the old video, this one does a much worse job of teaching it. It’s just like “here it is” and laid out without slowing down and teaching it. After returning to beginner piano after a few years, if this is indicative of how things are taught at HDPiano then I believe it’s gone downhill.
@Johnny-mo9df4 жыл бұрын
a lot of the vids are broken down by skill level. this is not a beginner level song to learn. you’re required to play two hands, one playing a different measure. from my experience at HDpiano it’s more so expected that you know a majority of the information given and have the ability to learn quickly. if this isn’t for you look for an easier song or pay for the full tutorial which would go more in depth
@darkstars1014 жыл бұрын
@@Johnny-mo9df Yes but I learned this song easily from the original video, as one of the first songs I've ever learned in fact. It's not difficult. All I'm saying is that this video was structured poorly in comparison. And if they're all like this now, then it's time to move on to other means of learning songs as I take up piano again.
@HDpiano4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your detailed feedback! Sorry this one missed the mark for you. Of course, if the old video is more effective for you, obviously use what works! We try to tailor our lessons for the average viewer; so it's not always possible to find the perfect balance of demonstration vs. explanation--but we try!! Thanks again; your points are well taken.
