Thanks. Yes, they do take an awful long time to do but I enjoy it. Also helps me keep a record of how I approached things so that if coming back to them a year later, I can jog my memory :-)

Great tutorial! I've been looking at some of Rachmaninov's preludes... I will definitely look at this one, as I feel better equipped with a structural practice method... Cheers!

Delighted to hear it. I found that as the music increases in complexity, it really helps to be a bit geeky in working out a structured practice method. Starting small has proven to be perhaps the biggest game changer :-)

Thank you so much - and for the Super Thanks. It means more than you can imagine. You might want to try learning perhaps just a section or two if you have the time. I will often learn just parts of a piece on the basis that there may be other parts that are totally beyond me, but the effort put in to learning those parts I can manage will still improve my playing.
