Random Dude Enters MEDIEVAL PUB then SHOCKS LOCALS!

I'm back out and about on one of my 'Pub Piano Quests'. In this video I find myself in the Old English City Of Worcester. Here in Worcester, Worcestershire I discover an amazing old Medieval Pub called The 'King Charles II'. This pub was built in 1577 AD and is completely original inside and out. I walk into the pub and I see this 'Old Joanna' in the pub that is just crying out to be played.......so of course I break into a bit of Ye Olde Boogie Woogie!! This joy filled music is called boogie woogie it originated in America, Tennessee if I'm not mistaken. Jerry Lee Lewis would be the most well known player of the style. Similar in joy is Rockabilly music I'd recommend Carl Perkins for that style. Jerry and Carl were very close friends 😄

I'm lucky that my school class went on a field trip to watch a pianist play the music of Scott Joplin when I was very young. That made me love piano and recognize how cool older music could be. Scott Joplin was an American composer of a style now known as Rag Time, and early branch of jazz. Some of his most famous tunes are "The Entertainer" and "Maple Leaf Rag." Check them out - I bet you'll like them.
