Great video. Clear explanation. Love your videos. One point though. I didn’t quite grasp how you synched the MIDI file in the video editor. You seemed to synch the audio from your neck mike with the camera audio. You don’t get to get 3 claps to line up with MIDI. Small point. Thanks. Brilliant.
@pianolessonwithwarren Жыл бұрын
The midi and my mic is recorded at the same time so those are already in synced. So once the audio is synced to the video the midi is also synced. Notice when I’m syncing the audio and video I’m working with a single file. That’s because the midi and mic is exported as a single file.

No. Audio interface only records audio. If you want to record midi it can only be done using a midi cable.

Warren thanks very much for this information very helpful. Now Warren how do you get clean piano sound when you load it in your midiculous. How do you record that midiculous piano. I know you're screen recording but how do you get really clean sound. Sometimes you do song breakdown of these videos playing and you playing at the same time when midiculous keys light up. Do you load midiculous in your daw and play video also on DAW and you play and record at the same time. You have everything explained for us but that bit was not pointed out. Thanks Jonhei
@pianolessonwithwarren2 жыл бұрын
I’m doing all that inside mi DAW. Apart from the visual of Midiculous, it is not apart of the recording Audio process - all audio is being routed and recorded inside logic x.
@jonheimusicacademy2 жыл бұрын
@@pianolessonwithwarren so how can i route the audio from midiculous into daw. am i going to route it in midiculous or route it from daw. i see the routing options here in my daw but could not successfully achieve it.
@pianolessonwithwarren2 жыл бұрын
@@jonheimusicacademy you don’t need to route any audio from Midiculous. We’re using Midiculous for the visual only. Once you record Midiculous with your screen capture software, then in your video ending software you layer Midiculous video on top and sync it with your audio which was recorded and exported with your DAW. Midiculous doesn’t come with good piano sound, what you’re hearing is my virtual piano name Addictive Keys when Is being recorded inside my DAW
@jonheimusicacademy2 жыл бұрын
@@pianolessonwithwarren thanks warren, i get it now. so am i going to record my piano on DAW, at the same time launch midiculous and screen recorder all at the same time using the same computer and later sync it with the exported audio from my daw finally into my filmora video editing software?

How do you do it if you want to pause and continue. This seems like you have to record all through ,no pause and continue?

You can do what ever you want during recording - you just edit out those sections later.

The Organ bro. I don’t even use 3/4 of them knobs. But the organ is killer. Nord is the next best thing when you don’t have a real Hammond

Warren, that was a clinic. Respect. How much time from start to make one video to finished product (post-editing)?
@pianolessonwithwarren3 жыл бұрын
The editing is actually the easiest part. I’ve recorded over 1000 videos so my recording don’t need much editing. The length of time various though - any where from 20mins to and hour if it’s a long video.
@AJforWSO3 жыл бұрын
@@pianolessonwithwarren I went back to that first video in 2014. You were dead-pan serious in that one lol. Thats where I feel like I'm at. You got mad hits in the beginning though. That had to help. Sadly KZbin isn't like that anymore.
@pianolessonwithwarren3 жыл бұрын
@@AJforWSO yeah man, I felt super awkward on camera, and the edit skills was poor too. But as you can see that didn’t matter because the content was still valuable, and that’s the important part. Doesn’t matter how slick the editing is, or smooth you are on camera, if the content not good the views will be poor.
