This song is beautiful, my ex wife and I hired a ballroom dance instructor to teach us to waltz to this and it was our first dance at our wedding. I think we performed the dance three time that night. Thank you, great tutorial.

Thank you so much. I play guitar, but this is my first Piano song. I learned it 2 bars at a time over 6 months, even slowing the video down. Both you and Henry Mancini would punch me in the nose for my performance of it, but it was sure fun to learn.

A stack of minor thirds is a diminished chord but the tune calls for a Half-diminished chord B D F A Not a full diminished which is a completely different function.

I love your videos. A couple suggestions though, - it would be nice to see the notes for both hands instead of just the right hand. I understand it might be harder to fit but it would be a more complete tutorial. - you have such an amazing voice, I’d love to see you play and sing the full song at the end of each tutorial

Hi Joe! Thanks for the comments and suggestions. We do have a full tutorial with a full score (both hands) but that is for our paid Pianote members :) And thank you! I love to sing to I appreciate the comment.

I enjoy your site and arrangements. One correction , the B diminished 7th chord should be half diminished not fully diminished. The line through the circle means half diminished 7th (B D F A).

It may be that if you just go really slowly taking it one measure at a time and replay parts of the video you can get ot, but that he super tedious, so idk.

Hey thanks for this wonderful video, I'm really enjoying learning this song. I think at 3:02 the notation is missing a flat symbol on the B after the lil mini note B (which is wonderful). You describe it perfectly just think there might be a slight mismatch with the notation.

Appreciated your comment.☺ Am looking at portable keyboards and like the Yamaha e463. Which keybord(s) would you and the other teachers choose? Thanks
@PianoteOfficial5 жыл бұрын
The e463 is a great keyboard for its price. Another similar keyboard like that is the Casio CTX-5000. We tend to like 88-key keyboards here because they have the hammer action, which is much closer to a real piano feel. But they are more expensive.

I don't understand the C chord you used in the first 2 measures with your left hand. I'm learning how to play chords and understand C is played as C-E-G fingering but that is not how you position your fingers.
