I love the step up and step downs. That is something I need to work on. They bring so much flair and rhythm to the song. I am so grateful that you are doing Beatles songs. Excellent tutorial, Nate. I had hoped you had spent a little more time explaining the chorus. I am struggling to understand the chromatic walk ups and downs. I can't seem to get the timing or rhythm. The G chord on Christmas and the A chord on year. I can't figure out the beats or what is happening between the left and right hands. Maybe, it will just take some time

If you are counting the 12/8 time (counting to 6 twice per measure) the chromatic walkup will happen on the very last "6" before you hit the next chord. If its easier to think of it this way: hit the G# on the word NEW

Nate, what song have you made a tutorial on that has gotten the most views. I. I'm just curious. Wonderful job on this song. Explaining the timing made all the difference for me. I had tried to learn this song before from another KZbin tutorial, but it sounded wrong. The timing was off. I am such a beginner that I wasn't able to spot the problem. I may have asked you before, but any John Lennon songs would be incredible. Watching the wheels, Woman, Jealous Guy, God...etc

I'll def be getting to some of those eventually...jealous guy was one of the very first songs i played on piano! Just have to figure out how much I should simplify the piano part...the one Nicky Hopkin's played is very complex

Hi yes, I hope to do Jealous Guy. Its one of the first songs I learned on piano (a much simplified version). I just have to see how much I want to simplify it...the piano on the Lennon recording was played by Nicky Hopkins who was amazing and the exact part he plays is very advanced.
