Like the last person commented - this is the very video I have been waiting for. I want to see the tie-up between an action in the real world and how it presents itself on the debugging screen. Just as important is to be shown how to set up the debugging tools. Just a quick note about using the IDE dark screen. At one point you make reference to 'volatile int ' which (on my screen) showed up as very dark blue. By using a magnifying glass, I was able to see the words 'volatile int ' - so if you can change the screen to make things easier to see, that would be useful. Thanks again for a very useful video.

Thanks for the feedback! At some point, I did think that dark blue could be a problem with dark background, which is why I configured those syntaxes as "bold". I though it would be fine since I also have a cheap non-color accurate monitor(it looks fine for me). I made the background lighter gray and those syntaxes lighter blue, hopefully it'll help(also for other people that may have this issue as well).

Hello, I am using PIC32MK052MCJ and MPLAB X IDE v6.05, and I am running into issue when following your example. It's break the breakpoint whenever I debugging! Do you know how to fix it?

Update: I have found the problem and now it worked correctly. It was due to the way I name my folder and directory (with space and special character).

Is there a way to change the black font when the program is loaded? I have looked at the options and I can't seem to find the right one!

Navigate to Tools>Miscellaneous>Output. Those are the settings used to change the window fonts/colors. However, let me tell you that those options only affect some of the windows, while most windows just ignore them. My guess is that only the windows native to NetBeans are configurable with those options. The edited/custom windows by Microchip seem to use hard-coded fonts/colors; hence, you can't change them. (Never looked into it that hard, so don't quote me on this.)

That's from a custom MPPT solar charge controller project I was making long ago. Unfortunately, I never got around to finishing it due to lack of available parts and equipment. So, those scripts are unfinished, and frankly, I don't really remember how I wrote them. If I just sent you the scripts, the code wouldn't work. If you tell me what caught your eye, I can help you with that part.
