Great little wagons there John. When you opened the box I thought they were N gauge at first. They look really good behind the pecket. Very good purchase. Thanks for sharing. Roy.

Thank you for the video. I do like the look of those Chaldrons behind the Peckett. Cheers Steve

Thanks Steve, they are so cute, I honestly have N gauge stock bigger than these

Hi John Those wagons do fit well with the Peckett and are something different and look forward to seeing what you come up with on the coupling front. On the weathering front it is always very subjective and the 25 you have done blends nicely into the layout . Cheers Kev

Thanks Kev I think they fit very well. The resale 25 is similar, I found a video of someone who did a close inspection, that’s how I knew one cab was unusable and painted dark green. Why though lll never know, lol

Great Chesterford Junction Model Railway makes his own magnetic couplers and has some good tutorial clips. Cheers Peter.

What an amazing buy John They look wonderful and they fit your layout so well.

Thanks Allan, they are so cute and tiny. This layout is completely ‘anything goes’, but they do fit nicely with the peckets.

Great review man! I agree with the chain couplings- I use Kadees, so I can uncouple easily, but if there was a way to magnetically uncouple chains it would be mega! Cheers Ol
@piccadillymodelrailways2 жыл бұрын
Yes I agree, but for fixed rakes great. Its not the end of the world to uncouple manually though.

Hi John I like everything that I've had from accurascale so far although I've not had the coal wagons, not my era. Anyway I think that 25 needs a good wash and paint job 🤣 joking apart it's your loco and if you like it that's all that matters nice video atb Andy

Cheeky boy! I love my 25, just hope it doesnt need a new motor though.

The new coal wagons look great, but I really like what you did with the 25. Nice work! Cheers - Larry.

I've got some of the Chaldon wagons myself and am also going to run them with my Peckett. Might be worth trying to adapt the chain magnet couplings for the Hornby Rocket. It would save an awful lot of hassle.
@piccadillymodelrailways2 жыл бұрын
Hi, I’ll run mine the same for a while. The coupling to rocket should be really easy. Honestly, use the supplied NEM coupling and cut off the socket. Insert a larger chain link so it will slot over the hook on rocket, job done. It could be removable or glued. I may, in time, convert the whole if rockets train as those drawbars are forever falling off.
@TheFonzie30002 жыл бұрын
Totally agree. I've got some extra couplings on order from Accurascale to do exactly that. And as the Hornby Lion is winging its way to me as we chat the timing couldn't be more appropriate.
@piccadillymodelrailways2 жыл бұрын
Ooooooo itll be lovely to see Lion with these. Ive ordered the Rapido version, but either Im sure will look fantastic.

Hi John, As with all Accurascale wagons they all run well and these looked good as for the coupling Accurascale themselves could sell them as they do have the tooling I would think and the chains could be different lengths as needed but will wait to see if you make some, the 25 looked great it fits your layout to a tee. Cheers Robert.

You can buy packs of the magnetic chain nem couplers now on accurascale
@piccadillymodelrailways2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Robert, I honestly think they would be easy to make. I might give it ago at some point.

@@mccarronfamily Thanks for that just looked on there web site and 8 in a pack might be worth trying. Cheers Robert.
