Hi John, Success I got to the end and must say your trains are running supebly well good luck with the wall alterations and nice to see Locomotion No 1 running I think Hornby should have fitted a stay alive in as standard as she was always going to have problems what do you think? Keep well and take things easy as you can we can all wait. Cheers Robert.

@robertstrainset6556 was literally just about to reply Robert. So sorry the adverts have caused you issues. I don't have any control over that. I know what you mean they can be very annoying. I tend to click off, on, off and I keep doing that till the video starts or restarts A stay-alive in Lcomotion, possibly. This perhaps would have made an already expensive model beyond some people's reach. Tough call. You mentioned Caroline, yes a gorgeous model, highly detailed. I do actually think the DCC fitting was easy, unclip the body and PCB, fit decoder and hey and presto very good friends. The Locomotion DCC fitting was beyond rediculous due to the lack of space to see. Both great models though.

Good afternoon John! You, my friend, are gonna end up costing me a fortune! Lol! I love that Caroline coach, and can definitely see a BR Blue / Grey one in my future! Locomotion also holds a special place in my heart after visiting Beamish open air museum as a child, and riding behind a replica of it! I don't think it squeaked, but it made a some great sounds!!! I still have some of my old OO stock, so could definitely see one of them in my future too! Replacing the insulfrog points was a good idea, even if the frog isn't powered, longer wheelbase locos tend to like them better! Right, I'm off to hide my wallet and hope I don't land on any tempting websites as I've already spent too much this month! :) All the best, Ian.
@piccadillymodelrailways2 күн бұрын
Lol, cheeky boy! If you choose to get you wont be dissappointed. Locomotion does need some serious running in though. You will also need to oil the mechanism and also the slot in the running boards where the vertical rods move. Some people have reported squeaking from the rods. MINE DOES NOT SQUEAK, Ill have you know, lol. It was the chaldron wagons squeaking, which they probably would do. There! Lol Hoping to replace the points, or some anyway, soon.

Hi John, I am trying to watch this all through but YT keep putting very long (55sec or so) adds in and I just click off but I will get there but just getting the video from the train show I went to on Sunday edited and up but had trouble with that also never mind. What I have seen of this what can now be modelled in n gauge is unbelivable and the decoder fitting all fitting of these should be this simple. Will come back at some stage keep well and modelling. Cheers Robert.

Hi John, excellent update, I really like the inspection saloon and lovely detail too. Good idea to replace the Insulfrogs, i know that will improve the running greatly. I always find trains decide to something as soon as you start filming even if you’ve had them running perfectly for ages, crikey who’d build a model railway and film it for KZbin, they must be mad!!!!😂 Cheers John, John

Revolution do constantly produce quality detailed models. That is why they exist of course but nonetheless meaning to do a thing and actually doing it are two quite different things. Caroline is simply the wrong period for me but it looks a lovely model. That all bodes well for the 1938 stock. A lovely mixture of things this evening John, and you do have plenty going on. If the dear little souls leave you with any energy over the coming weeks it will be good to see progress in future videos. Stephen

I know this is a long way down the line (unintended pun) but just in case you hadn’t thought of a workaround; for running push on DCC, you could just wire in a very simple two position switch and hide it in one of the separately-fitted parts on the undercarriage- to the point where you’d just have the stump of the switch sticking out. Wire it in series with the LEDs you want to turn off and just have that switch switched in push mode. As I say, just a thought. It’s sometimes the simplest of ideas that evade us the most, well. they usually evade me unless it’s for someone else :)
@piccadillymodelrailways10 күн бұрын
Hi Lewis, that would be a great idea, but these things are so complex it would not be a simple as it sounds. Whilst the 'middle' lights are frustrating Id rather not mess about with it or I could lose all lights. I just received the N gauge one too and the front and tail lights work completely independently, so its easy to turn off red or white lights.

Really good to see four trains running John. It must have been annoying to get the short especially as it takes some finding, but thank heavens you did. I did think you were testing the modelling gods by saying so far no issues, and sure enough the Class 90 shed its train. These things must be said sotto voce, if at all and with both fingers crossed. If you do that they can't hear apparently. I did like to be reminded also of the great street scene at what would be the back of Piccadilly. It really looked good. Stephen
@piccadillymodelrailways11 күн бұрын
Lol, well it was something, not sure about modelling gods. Just filmed the shot over the station, and just noticed the 90, which explains why it shunted the rest of the train causing major derailment. Lol. You can't make it up can you? Ill get the black tac out, till I can replace the couplings. So glad it works though, but existing track around the station throws up a few issues. Hopefully with through trains now I can improve the overall running.
