Just some things that should be known. 1#Special beam cannon does more damage if you fully charge it (it is possible to combo into) 2#piccolo excels in the corner so don't play him on point anchor or mid is best. 3#homing energy blast hard knocked down players to get in if you don't want to spend bar in super. 4#piccolo can use his hellzone grenade can give a free mixup. 5#if using piccolo on your team goku is a must have (both versions) both versions can combo into fully charged SBC. 6# Piccolos assist can actually be used midcombo and also to prolong combos but only certain situations in the corner. Demon slicer M is insanely good if you are being pressured in the corner and since piccolo is rarely used people fall for it constantly and then you have piccolo pressuring which is where you want him,

He seems like a high technique and skill character. His specials doesn't have the power and showmanship of many others but seem to be effective in the right hands. It fits with his low key and analytical personality.

Piccolo's fully charged Special Beam Canon does do more damage, but if you end the charge early at all it's the same as if you didn't charge it. Hold it until it goes off on its own and it does a few hundred more.

Plus it does a shit ton of chip damage if your opponent is blocking

Piccolo's special beam cannon actually does more if you charge it. But only if fully charged, mid way charged is the same as doing it instantly

I'm not really sure how you are supposed to use it fully charged though. It takes such a long time I don't see how it could hit (except if goku decide to show up and sacrifice himself by holding the opponent for you but I heard he's got a bad experience with that and decided not to do it again).

I love using the homing energy blast after I've knocked them down. It'll be right on top of them so it's practically guaranteed they'll guard. Depending on how they guard I get a free low attack or grab. If they dash through it then just counter. I like to imagine that I'm REALLY pissing my opponents off.

You didn't cover how Special Beam Cannon does 1000 extra damage at max charge, or how you can use homing ki blast for okizeme setups, how Hellzone Grenade allows you to combo in the air after using a forward ground heavy, or how Light Grenade is one of the few (if not the only) level 3 supers that do ALL of its damage to ALL characters on screen; allowing it to remove huge chunks of health from supports if called in with good timing.

A few critiques: The homing orbs eat regular ki attacks actually, but beams do destroy it though of course Also since it wasn't in the video, 214M combos from j.S, and the 6S combos from 5S. Also not mentioned is that as good as the 214 series are, if you do it raw you don't need to react and block, you can just 2H and hit him out with anit-airs. Assists and homing orbs covering it are what make it strong for mixups. The combo demonstration also shows an invalid combo, come on. You could have done something basic for an air combo ending in 214L for a basic meterless combo. Also doesn't note the mixup possibilities that come from Hellzone grenade. The gameplan idea is right though, setting up mixups (with coverage from homing orbs and assists) give this character amazing left/right possibilites! But when you add hellzone grenade vortex on top of that, it gets even stronger!
