Picher, OK is among a very small number of locations in the world that have been evacuated and declared uninhabitable due to environmental and health damage caused by mining.
A 2006 study showed 86% of Picher's buildings (including the town school) were badly undermined and subject to collapse at any time - so let's check out what's left of America's most toxic city in August 2023...!

@saschafox 1995-1996 and it was just another small town to us. In 1996 they discovered that the kids were getting lead poisoning
