I love these two. They're so energetic and enthusiastic, it's always a delight watching them.

The Betrayal at Mystery Mansion is my favourite. It's like a classic Scooby Doo episode, and runs better than the main Betrayal games!

Secrets of the Lost Tomb has the exploration/trigger mechanisms from Betrayal, mixed with Arkham Horror 2e style of character development. I have the original run which has a couple of minor issues, but I heard that the latest release has fixed them.

I love in particular that you choose your objectives in Nemesis. The one thing with Betrayal that I've found is that if the player who gets the traitor role is either newer or just isn't feeling up to being the bad guy, they might have a bad time in the game. I really enjoy the fact that you get to choose whether or not you betray someone. It's really good design to have the game balanced to where everyone could try to betray everyone and it would still work. And I love the reveal where it would be at the end and you realize your friend made the active decision to kill you that game. As a Betrayal enjoyer, I've loved the couple of games of Nemesis that I've been able to play since I've got it. I'll have to check out some of these others!

Maybe that most recent board game adaptation of The Thing.

I would like to recommend Hako Onna, it has a vibe of betrayal after the haunt started. Unique odd little game that really resembles betrayal games.

Betrayal: “If you can’t handle me at my worst, then you don’t deserve me at my best.” Love this game. Probably still my #1 even though there are hundreds of better “designs”. But like 5 of my top 10 gaming experiences/stories of all time are Betrayal playthroughs, and it was one of my first introductions to modern board games. A lot of personal significance there.

The Night Cage is good, but I'd always pick Sub-Terra over it if there's a choice.

Night cage vs betrayal is a big stretch. Nothing in common. Title layer vs a narrative 1 vs many. But night cage was extremely boring for us. We also sold of betrayal though. Terrorscape/escape from aliens in out space/ mansions
