I watched this at the end of the month. My birthday was July 8th, and I turned 27. I really am miserable at my job and have been fence-sitting leaving this summer instead of the end of the year. I have been there for two years and it's taken a negative toll on my mental health, physical health, and self esteem. I made the decision to quit a few days ago! Right after that, they put me on probation (and I was completely calm because it felt like the universe pushing me out of there). A few months prior, I asked for ADHD accommodations, and they essentially began to micromanage and paper trail me. Those were the "eyes" on me this month. I also saw more people than I have in a long time! I went on a work vacation from the 1st-10th! I almost never take off and it gave me a lot of clarity. I started working on projects that I've been thinking about for months. I had a birthday party with some of my closest friends last week. Pile 2 here! whenever I read “eat, pray, love,” I remember getting emotional over the authors time in Indonesia, when she learned the belief that every person has 4 “brothers” that exist around them to protect them spiritually. Each brother supposed to represent a part of the womb that’s surrounded you in creating your life, and that energy follows you as protection. I remember getting emotional over it because my mother miscarried two babies after i was born. In my family, we believe that those were meant to be my brothers, and I think of one of them as a spirit that protects my mom and myself, the other protects my sister. Wow I was just blown away because I picked Group 3 and when you were reading the passage about karma "for instance if you break your leg.." I've been unable to walk, completely, since mid May due to a bad knee injury I needed to get surgery on, so in total it'll be 2 months of being unable to walk by the time I can start bearing weight again. I injured it dancing... I did always push myself too hard, always. And it's funny I am a teacher as well-- though for now I can't even do the work I would normally do, I'm unable to work my jobs, get my own groceries, do anything basic for these 8 weeks being completely non-weight-bearing-- and this is changing my perspective on EVERYTHING I took for granted, as well as the necessity of setting up remote or passive sources of income. I'd had nothing prepared for a scenario like this. But I do teach youth and adults dance and fitness as well, so when I get back to it after doing rehab I'll KNOW more things to share with others that can prevent knee injury... And I'll know that pushing too hard at things is NOT effective. It was always my tendency. Group 3 really spoke; I need to find the positive in this difficult experience right now..
