It took me a while to get the gimbal modes or what DJI calls follow modes because I went from photos, to video. You add a gimbal head to a lens and you have to think of not only filming motion, but also a lens that moves in 3 spatial planes! Thanks for watching and happy filming!

Yes! Don’t bring an extending selfie stick to WDW as they don’t allow them. You’ll have a great camera set up, and if you’re in low light, sometimes your phone is a great back up because the pocket’s sensor only does usable video up to ISO 400. Have fun!

This is the best video that I’ve seen describing the different follow modes. But I loved about the video as you took something that appears so complex to a new user like myself and simplify it for the types of shots that mow modes are best suited for. I plan on going to Disney with my son and now I have a better idea of which mode to use and I plan to practice before the trip. Any other suggestions on the different follow modes for a trip to Disney World on rides and following my son as he walks through the park

I have some fears about buying the wrong thing because I’m not very tech-savvy. In fact, last year I bought a DJI OM 5 gimbal, and after a couple of uses, it was put aside because I struggled to make it do what I wanted it to. The camera is made to record in clips, so when you hit the record button after stopping a recording, you can resume with the same settings again. If you need to splice the clips together, the best bet will be in post production editing.

I’m new to P2, recently purchased & learning by watching KZbin vids to save the trouble reading through those menu😅😂 Is follow mode or tilt locked mode better if I’m going for holidays, making daily vids? Will tilt locked be better since I’m afraid follow mode might mislead P2 to follow someone else😅🤣 I’m not the kind of slow & steady person when filming because sometimes might need to run around chasing after my little one, which mode will be better for me? Thanks😊

For most situations, follow mode will be best to capture most situations. Simply point the camera and handle towards what you want to film. The only time it will follow someone/something is if you tell the camera to by tapping on someone or something in the touchscreen. This create the box for the camera to follow someone or something as long as it is onscreen and pretty much keeping the same shape/form for the camera to follow. Play with it and practice! Best explanation found on Pocket 2 various modes. There is full gimbal lock mode too what is that user for? It locks all axis basically.

Glad this helped! Gimbal lock can work for situations where you don’t want the gimbal head to move or track. It works well I f your stationary and doing a talking head segment, in a time lapse or if you want to get a still pic. Thanks for watching!

@@RoadTales If you hold the right side function button then it remains locked as long as you keep holding it. If you want to lock it without holding then the top right button on the joystick, long press that button it will lock & remained locked till you unlock it by pressing once the same button.
