In such times of deliberately created binaries - Ambedkar vs Nehru , Nehru vs Patel , Nehru vs Bose etc , it was extremely edifying to hear someone who spoke without taking sides , someone who spoke with rationality , someone who did not idolise anyone .
@Sunil-b4732 жыл бұрын
No disrespect to any freedom fighters but the differences did exist and they are not deliberately created. And again choosing to not knowing is different. It depends on personal choice.

We are, unfortunately ,thank less and hardy care to even think about them.we have to list outhouse who are alive in their ninetees before it becomes too late On my part ,l salute all those who suffered for whatever we are now.

The real backbone of India lies with their regional original political parties. Delhi Durbar cannot rule at one stroke. The regional aspirations are varied from state to state. They story of rat and frog friendship sets in. We must go separate country and form as European Union.

I don't understand the term pick your Savarkar in the time frame pre 1911 and post 1911 till 1911 he propagates love for the mother land and to oppose and fight for freedom from the British, then when in jail and tortured etc he converts his views and ready to serve them and oppose the freedom fighters to the extent of instigating Indian youth of that time to join the British army during world war two, what does all this action signify let's face it the so called "Intellectuals" know the word for such actions but are white washing the facts and being polite my question is if one joins the armed forces to fight the enemies of one's country, it's a noble act and a righteous act but if that same person changes his/her Loyalties after the realities and inflictions of war and passes on secrets and supports the enemies in whatever means he can, will the Indian army forgive him? My other question is If Shaheed Bhagat Singh had apologized to the British and been forgiven would we have a Bhagat Singh 🤔🤔🤔

Something is horribly wrong with Sanket. He keeps calling Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi never Mahatma which still is fine… but then he mentions salutation in letters and compares to Savarkar… he seems lost or willing to digress

He is probably trying to sound "neutral" by referring to them by their official names. He is not using the term "Veer" either.

Who built the seven gates of Thebes? The books are filled with names of kings. Was it the kings who hauled the craggy blocks of stone? And Babylon, so many times destroyed. Who built the city up each time? In which of Lima's houses, That city glittering with gold, lived those who built it? In the evening when the Chinese wall was finished Where did the masons go? Imperial Rome Is full of arcs of triumph. Who reared them up? Over whom Did the Caesars triumph? Byzantium lives in song. Were all her dwellings palaces? And even in Atlantis of the legend The night the seas rushed in, The drowning men still bellowed for their slaves. Young Alexander conquered India. He alone? Caesar beat the Gauls. Was there not even a cook in his army? Phillip of Spain wept as his fleet was sunk and destroyed. Were there no other tears? Frederick the Great triumphed in the Seven Years War. Who triumphed with him? Each page a victory At whose expense the victory ball? Every ten years a great man, Who paid the piper? So many particulars. So many questions. ― Bertolt Brecht

Did he deserve to analyze Veer savrkar life? Before 1911 and after 1911 Savarkar both are different? Actually veer savarkar experience the real problem of nation in the jail of Andaman. So this person spoke about sawarkar is just his opinion not fact. If he want to prove his opinion then must produce copy of those letters which wrote by Veer savarkar. Writing in setting ac room and writing in sellular jail is quit different.

Modern Britain is very different to Britain of Colonies. Also, India was not a country but fragmented monarchies and independent landowners. Britain set the foundations for today's union. Absolutely no harm at all in lowering the flag for the lovely accepting of differences Queen of UK

it was the ordinary people who did that... don't banish them from your history....OK this book is not about Savarkar...the book is about who were made this independence possible....OK few simple questions to this author, journilist, intelectual, thinker... Who banished the people you are talking about from the history of India's independence? Why are Gandi and Lehru considered the only freedom fighters? who are those who glorify them and that India's freedom is due to these two people?
