@4:10 That dash is absolutely stunning! Love all the needle on dial analog gauges! I can't believe that Ford has clown gauges on ther F250 SuperDuties with bar graphs for speedo and tach! It is a complete joke on a truck approaching $100K! Great to see commerical designers don't do stupid things like that and make the gauges purely functional and easy to read under all conditions!!!
@OTRBandit2 ай бұрын
Thank you very much buddy. Unfortunately newer semi trucks have digital gauges as well. I like old school gauges like I have right now.
@LWRC2 ай бұрын
@@OTRBandit I understand manufacturers have to cut costs where ever they can and analog gauges is certainly one of them. Regardless, you can get so much information from analog gauges that digital can't convey. On analog displays, you don't even have to read the dial numbers as all you need to know is the relative position of the needle for the particular gauge and what that position represents! You can't get that from digital in the amount of time for analog! Lastly, I'm not in the trucking business but am just a regular consumer and as such, I want to express my sincere gratitude and thanks to you and all the men and women out there in the trucking world hauling and transporting everything we need! Without you folks, we would be in a world of hurt! 👍👍👍

I’m curious about those caves that are massive to drive into? How did they originate what’s the history behind them? Why underground? All that labor etc. when it could be built with warehouses on top of the ground? That was pretty neat to see

This is old, limestone mine in Springfield MO that was converted into warehouse. There are warehouses like this all over US. There is at least 10 of these places in Kansas City area. Back in the day, there was a lot of lot lizard in almost all the truck stops across America, especially around the city limits of almost all cities. I stopped trucking over the road back in 2004. I hear it is a whole new kind of breed out there now. We stopped to help another trucker, and we talked on the CB. I sat at a table for dinner at a truck stop with another trucker I didn't know, and we chatted. Drove on convoys across the country. I hear all that is gone now. I'm glad I experienced that era of real trucking. You all be safe out, catch you another day another way.

sry for the wall of text here, TLDR, i ACTUALLY picked up a lizard and made her WORK for cash and then abducted her. XD i drove a KW box truck for a while. id stop at the same station every day on the way home to refuel for the next day. I ended up noticing one clean looking spanish/asain lizard there every few days. i figured if she was a cop, she had real dedication. so i just admired the view for about 6 months, till one day i had a particularly messy load in the back and saw her. it was a hot, humid, August afternoon if central Florida after a quick shower and i REALLY didnt feel like cleaning my truck. so i called her over and went nondescript as i could, "Hey hun, how much for 30 minutes of your time. '20 bucks for 10 minutes, so 60' "i like those numbers, what if it's rougher than a typical job?" '20 bucks is 20 bucks' "bet, hop in and ill take you around the corner." (to the washout bay) as we are rolling through the lot, i pull out a C-note and tell her its yours if you do exactly as i say. "i want you to follow me into the back, i want you to take your top off, and i want you to take the broom back there help me scrub the floor while i stand there with the water. Then you can wash the outside of the truck. Oh, and DONT touch me." (my theory is this will prove whether shes a cop or not. a cop prolly wouldn't go topless in public. and because i specifically said not to touch me, theres no "prostitution" to make it illegal. its no different than a strip club. again, just my theory, im no lawyer) She actually agreed, did what i wanted. had a very nice shaped, natural rack. after we were done. we had a hand full of people watching. she asked if i would also buy her a shower if she let me watch. i agreed, we did. the next day i saw her again, she came up to me and complimented how clean my truck looked and asked if i needed ANYTHING else cleaned or POLISHED. sorry i dont. but if you wanted a change of scenery, you could ride with me tomorrow. ill buy you lunch and dinner if you keep me company and help me work. She agreed. i picked her up the next morning on the way out. we rode around all day, she did help unload things when she could, still dressed in a fluffy mini-skirt and a small tube top. She was surprisingly intelligent. had dropped out of college to be a VET and went to the streets a year before because of depression and the lack of anyone who cared about her. now she was just trying to survive. She was good company, seemed to have a bubbly personality once she opened up, and could make amazing dick-jokes about damn near anything. So i invited her to ride with me again the next day and took her to walmart to get her non-slutty clothes. at the end of the 3rd day with me i said fuck it, and invited her to just come stay at my place. We did get physical then. She kept riding with me every day. i helped her get around town and apply for a few jobs. after a few weeks she started at a publix as a cashier. i started to "charged" her rent to stay with me by having her buy our groceries. I co-signed for her a used car. this all happened during covid. She is now an assistant at a local vet shop making a bit more money. We have a shared bank account to pay our bills, and she has a rock on her left ring finger from me.
